any doctors post here?

Medical doctors are not allowed to post on BP due to past experiences that did not go well. If you have questions, reference: Tibor

Perhaps you did have a new resident fresh out of medical school. As another poster noted, they all start in July--reason why you NEVER opt for elective surgeries in the summer.
Oh, and stop being a little girl.

I said it and it is because my wife hates July. She is a nurse and she said every July is like babysitting. Actually, she doesn't mind them if they come in like normal human beings, not arrogant SOBs that forget they have yet to really experience life in a hospital.

Anyone think Nut will post again about getting hurt?

I dislocated my right elbow 11 times in 6 weeks my senior year in high school. Being that I was short on any type of talent and there was no way I was going to play any sports after that year, I would manually re-locate the elbow, tape it up and press on. Unfortunately, the 11th time the elbow didn't want to relocate in the middle of a wrestling match so I had to finish the match one-handed (against Ben Rings from Marysville who ended up winning Division 2 that year at the 189 lb class) and I lost by 2 points.

3 months, a full high school baseball season later, and I had Tommy john surgery on the elbow. 1 week later I was doing push-ups one handed until I got the elbow out of the cast and locked brace.

Quit being a little girl.

What kind of man goes to a doctor for a few stitches? Bottle of liquor, dental floss and paperclip is all you should need.

The pussification of America continues.

:p

If we had been in my boat, I would have just let my drunk neighbor sew it closed with a hook and fishing twine.

Question for the doctors here.

It's been just over 2 weeks since I sliced.
Today makes 1 week since the stitches were removed.

Any way, the area immediately above the cut (closer to finger tip) has no feeling.
As in I can jab it with a needle, touching the burning end of a cigarette, etc and not feel it at all.
The very tip of finger still has feeling.
Just the area inside the horseshoe shape of the cut seems to be completely dead.

Is this normal?
Or could it be permanent nerve damage?
