Annual Spring Game - 2009

Wow I am officially scared by how much Pryor has improved.

He looks confident as hell. From this couch, it looks like he's reading the defense well and he's definitely finding the open guys. His throws are strong and accurate.. he's looking great out there. I don't know what I expected, but I didn't expect him to look this good.

Nice showing by TP and TW in the 2nd Quarter.

Great throw by TP to Small and great catch and run by Small.

Grey put up 17 pts in the first half against a pretty good Scarlet Defense. Most impressive guy on D so far, on either team, has been Tyler Moeller imho. I've liked what I've seen from Andre Amos as well.

Terrelle looks like he has some confidence in his throws. Some of them look like they are thrown at 80mph +, ok I might be off by a little but really well played game by the Grey. I am a little worried about Chekwa getting beat by T Wash, but I havent seen him fumble too much.

Eh, its a scrimmage. For a big play to happen, someone on our team has to get beat. I'm just happy that throw got all the way there (against the wind, right?) and didnt enable Checkwa to recover.

With the exception perhaps of the first TD throw, it isn't really as if the Scarlet D has been out of the plays.

It is much, much more that Pryor is that damned good, and is WR corps is coming up big for him when Pryor isn't handcuffed with a Black Jersey.

I was just about to ask if anyone noticed how T Wash got so open on that TD throw. I saw Chekwa tackled him...did Chimdi just get toasted?

That throw from Pryor to Small was on the money with some serious zip.

Pryor and Moeller are playing great. I'm a little worried about Chekwa, though. I loved seeing Washington catch that first TD, but it shouldn't have been that easy against our #1 CB.

Chimdi has had a rough scrimmage so far....he has been beat at least 3 times in man coverage that I can count.

Interesting point just made about Josh Kerr.....people forget that Kerr was initially a Univeristy of Miami signee...not exactly chopped liver. He has done a great jon on Thaddeus Gibson thus far.

Tyler Moeller looks great. I just don't se how you keep him off the field.

Comparing him to Vince Young is now an insult to Pryor. :p I kid, I kid(but in a couple years that could be true).

My 1st half impressions:

Pryor is just a completely different player. Very little hesitation. He knows where to go with the ball. Even a pessimist who thinks it's just because of bad coverage by the D has to admit he's a lot more accurate. He has an NFL future at QB.

Moeller and Gibson just have motors that don't quit.

Adams has looked a lot better than I thought he would. I keyed in on him for a few plays and he didn't get beat. I'm not as worried about him as I was initially. He'll have his growing pains but I still see that potential.

The receivers look great. Posey, Washington, and Small all having good days.

Spitler looks jacked. You can see it through his sleeves.

I don't know how a recruit can come away from this game not wanting to be a Buckeye.
