First off, before you go nuts with rooting and romming your phone look over the features and decide what the rom has that you like/want. The truth is a lot of people go with a custom rom but end up going back due to stability or performance issues.

I have my Droid and my NexusOne, (US Phone and International Phone) and I have actually moved the Droid back to it's default rom due to the fact that the handset wasn't really powerful enough to fully explore the features.

Now for your questions.

1) For your apps, you can use the batch functions in Titanium, also, when you install a custom rum Clockwork will ask if you want to backup your current rom, say yes and you'll have your phone, apps and all, in their current state in case you lose functionality or you are not happy with the change.

2) Open up the Rom manager, it should detect your phone, ask if you want to install clockwork and list the roms that Koush has in his library for your phone.

The rom you mentioned doesn't appear to be available for your phone, that looks like it's a droid rom. Be careful, while I have rooted and toyed with a ton of Android phones and never bricked one, there's always a risk that you can damage your device if you use an incompatible rom with it.

3) See question one, I think the answer should be the same.

Thanks for the info. I was mainly interested in the CyanogenMod and backing everything up. Guess I'll wait until the gingerbread update comes my way!

Found a free app that lets you make calls anywhere in/to the US and Canada for free over a WiFi connection. Works pretty well for me.

Amazon just released their cloud file storage. You can get 5gb for free. You use the amazon mp3 app as a player to play your music files.

if you buy any mp3 album from amazon, as cheap as .69, you get 20 GB free for a year, $20/yr after that.

Not only does it provide file streaming but it is cloud storage, meaning you can put pictures, videos, documents, ringtones or anything else you might want to back up or have available on the go.
