Carrell stole the spotlight in the first movie by showing how superior he is to Ferrell as a comedic actor. Hope they learned from this and will be focusing more on Brick Tamland. The trailer gives me some hope.

Sorry Ferrell fans, but gross-out/do something shocking humor gets old real fast and that is all he has.

I have and it was not good. To me Will Ferrell is Frank the Tank and a good SNL skit guy, and that is about as good as he will ever get in my book.

I just don't find any of his leading roles all that funny as they seem really forced.

I have not. After the disaster that is Step Brothers, I stopped watching movies that have Ferrell as a lead character. Ferrell is still good as a stock character or part of a good ensemble, but he cannot carry a movie when he does his normal schtick.

Ironically, when he steps out of his comedic stereotype, like in Stranger than Fiction, he can be pretty good.
