Don't think for a second that these "awards" don't mean a ton to these players. LeBron played it off nicely, but I'll bet his ass is shooting flames right now. I'll bet a buck that New Jersey can't be real pleased that he was snubbed.
These guys are grossly overpayed beyond any of our own wildest dreams, but once they get on the court its all about winning and the recognition that comes with it. I'll always remember Dennis Rodman in tears being interviewed after winning the defensive player of the year award. As huge a flake as the guy is, it was apparent that this was his "MVP" award.
