Has anyone ever been through all 88 counties in Ohio?

I always think it is funny when people tell me they have been to all 50 states or to 10+ countries, but have seen less than 1/2 of the state where they have lived for their entire life.

Personally, I have been to 71 counties in Ohio. The ones I am missing are in the more remote areas of the state.

I only know one couple who have been to all 88 counties and that is because they visited all 88 Ohio Bicentenial Barns back in 2003.

not me, off the top of my head i can think of...

Franklin(of course i live in it)
Union(go snowboarding up at Mad River, i believe thats union, maybe we drive thru it on the way)

actually this is harder to think off of my head

we went to cleveland this summer and also to canton and massillon so whatever counties are between here and there

we went down towards Zanesville on the way to florida, so whatever on that way

went camping up at portage quarry, so again whatever is on the way

i can't think of them, but its been alot, but def not all of them

I've been to/through almost all of them at one time or another. The only areas I have missed are some of the far NW and far S/SE counties. Honestly, there is very little reason to go to places like Jackson or Mercer county unless you have friends/family there.

although i cant be sure, i think i have. I installed fence around cell phone towers for two+ yrs. i also did farm, split rail, and every other type of fence. i have been in the remote corners of the state, and starting from licking county (newark) you kinda have to travel through alot of them. but like i said, no way to be sure.

My father used to raise field champion beagles. I had been in all 88 counties by the time I was 14. Ohio really has a lot of diversity. From the flat farmland of the northwest to the rolling hills of the southeast, it has a rare and unique beauty throughout if you open your eyes and look for it.

My favorite drives, when I have a weekend in Ohio, would be to drive down to Chillicothe or to go south the other way and end up hitting Ironton, Morgantown WVa, those kind of places. But then, I like the small towns and the people that live in them and like seeing that kind of thing.

Or if you want some weed or maybe auto parts.... and of course, if you're ever feeling down about your financial predicament, it's a good lift me up.

Not sure how many counties I've been in.... Quite a few, maybe I'll have a look later and count em up. I doubt it's all 88. I do know a guy who has been to all county courthouses in Ohio to take a photo of it. It's for a coffee table book he made.... anyway, there are some really cool looking courthouses out there. I like the one in Pickaway. It's very different to walk in there, no one checks you for guns and stuff (like here in Franklin). Small town. I like small town.

I would image that the three least visited counties would probably be Paulding, Harrison, and Morgan. Unless you live in or near them, there is absolutely no reason to pass through these places.

I've been through Morgan many a time on my way to Marietta on Rt. 60.

I believe they are always the state leader in unemployment rate, around 15%.

I am 99.99% sure I have visited every county. Heck, I am confident that I have been to the major city in each county. All in one year to boot.

I was an auditor for a title insurance company. So I had to visit each office in Ohio, which is normally in the county seats. Never had time to actually look around but it was normally drive in & out... I just had to pray Mapquest was somewhat right on the county roads so I didn't get lost and hoped they at least had a diner so I can eat lunch.
