So a policeman that gets shot... oh well
An airline stewrdess that dies in a plane crash.... oh well
Mike Utley getting paralyzed playing football... oh well
Mike Coolbaugh that is standing and coaching and is drilled in the head by a line drive that pulverized Coolbaugh's left vertebral artery, leaveing behind a family....oh well.
I guess it feels cool to show out and act heartless on a message board... but in reality it's not.

Injury in sports happen, deal with it.

Have either of you guys ever played baseball outside of a summer REC league?tibor75;1168779; said:If the pitcher didn't want to get hurt, he should have struck him out.
He got what he deserved for throwing a bad pitch to a good hitter.

A line drive back up the middle is not something that anyone involved enjoys. If that ball is a little lower - it's a broken jaw and some missing teeth. If its a little higher - it could have easily killed him.buckeyefool;1169305; said:Yes I have

Whats your deal?
What fantasy world do you live in? I don't see one post in here that says something along those lines..I know getting hit in the face with a baseball sucks. I've had it happen. But Some people here want to act as if this was some random act of violence, and we should all feel sorry for this guy, because he has a broken nose. I don't fell sorry for him at all, he is a professional baseball player, it is going to happen, no player will ever get through their career without an injury, some worse than others.
I don't think you'll find anyone who dosen't agree with the fact that its part of the game. I'll tell you publically I agree. You think I'm being a dickhead that is your opinion, other have told me privatly they agreed with me.
