Alabama Crimson Tide (official thread of Football, Fake Championships and Banjo)

1). Forfeit the season
2). For every child trafficked, deduct one National Championship Trophy. Beginning with 2017
3). Hard cap of 15mm in NIL for the next 3 years.
Google AI:
Alabama football's annual Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) spending reached $24 million, tracking behind some top competitors who spend upwards of $40 million.

Year-by-Year Spending Growth
Former head coach Nick Saban revealed the program's rising roster payments during congressional testimony:
    • 2021 (First year): $2.7 million
    • 2022: $7 million
    • 2023: $10 million
    • 2024 (Post-retirement/transition): $17 million
    • Recent Season: $24 million
Context and Comparison
    • The Competition: Top-tier programs across college football have operated with estimated roster and NIL investments between $40 million and $50 million.
    • The Approach: Rather than matching the highest dollar-for-dollar bids, Alabama relies heavily on its historic brand value, development track record, and selective resource alignment under head coach Kalen DeBoer....

Remember the glory days when owning several car dealerships gave you enough cash to put together a championship roster? Alas, the college football world has blown past Bama’s ability to pay.

It’s humorous that Saban is at the forefront of the reform movement. “These changes in college football completely undermine the way I used to successfully cheat! It has to stop!”
The one few topics I agreed with Colin Cowherd about is that he said early on in NIL that the B1G would overcome the SEC because has all their programs in small college towns with limited big company’s and not nearly as much wealthy alumni. Outside of Dallas, Houston and Atlanta; the B1G is in every major media market in America

I remember when Oldsmobile picked up the tab to send Sparty’s band to the Rose Biwl. But that was in the 1950s and the Midwest was an industrial powerhouse. Much of what made the Midwest so powerful is now located in Dixie.

1). You're not wrong and neither is CC.

2). Waiting for the Tech sector of California to give SC and UCLA the boost they need to get things going.
