Alabama quarterback Bryce Young assumes the reins of the most important position on the field this season for the defending national champions and his starpower has a chance to be considerably lucrative for the former five-stat prospect.

Speaking at the Texas coaches convention on Tuesday, Alabama coach Nick Saban revealed that one of his players has been offered a substantial name, image and likeness deal, though he did not specify the player by name.

"Our quarterback has already approached ungodly numbers, and he hasn’t even played yet," Saban said, via 247Sports' Chris Hummer. "If I told you what it is … it’s almost 7-figures."

That's insane... imagine how many opportunities Stroud has if he plays as well as we think he will.

By mid season this year Stroud could potentially retire if he plays well enough (2-5mil) if he wanted to.

Almost 7 figures. That’s more than some nfl offensive linemen make.

Seems like the old school counterpart to Day’s “mental health is an important part of cultivating a cohesive brotherhood” atmosphere at Ohio State.

Hopefully Day’s approach proves more effective, and at the very least, more sustainable.

Whether his decline starts with some sort of scandal because he was a callous dick to his players or not, it has to start at some point for the almost 70 y/o Saban.
