An Alabama commitment for two months, Grady backed off that pledge once coach Nick Saban retired as the four-star defensive end wanted to re-evaluate everything in his recruitment. The Enterprise, Ala., standout will be back in Tuscaloosa soon as Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida State and Miami will also get visits. If it’s not Alabama, Auburn could have a slight edge but the Crimson Tide could get him back in the fold. Still, this feels like Georgia has emerged as the favorite especially since that coaching staff has made him such a priority.

Per poster on 11w:

Zion Grady set official visits to Georgia, Tennessee, Miami and Florida State with a visit to Auburn still be scheduled. He will also take Spring visits to those same 5 schools and said he’s working to get up to Ohio State to check them out.

I think this one’s over folks, he’s staying the south

Per 11w poster from an FSU insider:

This recruitment has been a fun one to follow, with several twists and turns when it comes to who has the advantage. I will start by saying I feel the teams firmly in the picture are FSU, Ohio State and Auburn. Miami and Tennessee are in the picture as well, but I’m focusing more on those top three. I think FSU and Ohio State have made the biggest impressions during visits this spring, but I do think the official visits will tell the final story since he’s going to commit on July 4.

FSU will have a good chance to set the tone with his official visit on June 7. But Ohio State gets to make the last impression with Grady’s visit there. We will see how this one goes in June.

I made this mistake before myself when reading an article and seeing a kid had 5 officials set and one not being Ohio State…… I automatically assumed the Bucks had zero chance since they weren't listed.

I forgot they changed the official visit rule this year to unlimited, as long as a school isn't officially visited more than once, up from being capped at 5 officials allowed to all schools for years before… shoot, forever before.

I didn't even know they did away with the 5 official visit maximum, but come to thinking it was a really stupid rule. Let the kids visit if the schools are offering it. I loved going on officials back in my glory years and seeing all the campuses. But for Zion, I would still put our chances around zero for now...but get a kid like this on campus and swing for the fences.
