Game Thread Akron at tOSU, Sat. Aug. 31, 3:30pm ET, CBS

I've said multiple times I am not saying you are.

I am, however, saying that some of the super fans are complaining like Ohio State lost by 40 because of the Oline not being perfect.
Oh well I’m not saying that… I’m just saying the starting OL needed to work deep in the game because they didn’t really get it done early.

I never said the team sucked or that the OL was terrible. Just they needed to work deep in the game.

They did, which is why they did.

You'll see a lot more rotation next week once the game is well in hand. Oline play is a rhythm thing almost as much as the passing game is.

I have no doubt that Jackson being out really hurt… I doubt we practiced much with this OL.

From all accounts Jackson continued to practice so this OL didn’t have much time to get right.

I’ve already clarified my position.

It was a good win and we got better as the game went.. but the OL needs to start better.

There’s no wrong in saying that.

It’s the 12th time that tends to rub folks wrong. You’ve been around for long enough to know all of this. Every year the same. Maybe this year it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s up to you.

Ugh ok…

I didn’t say anything inflammatory or terrible about the kids.

Literally just said we didn’t play well for the first 1.5 quarters which is why the OL was left in the game late.

Btw I think Day would agree otherwise they would’ve been out at the half.

Akron QB has balls made of fucking steel. That being said, if you're his coaches, you don't let him make the call. He's a baller and of course he's going to stay out until the last minute. You need to think about the season and pull his ass before Jack Sawyer ruptures his fucking spleen.
Agreed. My wife and I were talking about that. If I was his father, I would be angry as hell at the coaches for not pulling him sooner.

They were calling read options even though he was clearly hurt. I made the comment during the game and I’m kind of curious.

Can you bring a lawsuit for purposely calling plays to hurt a kid?

Like it was odd how much they were running a kid who wasn’t very mobile.

It is tough seeing a team like Akron, that can't afford any guys to go down, losing their QB and more, for potentially a significant amount of time in a game that they never stood a chance. If I were Moorhead, I'd be tempted to treat it like an NFL preseason and let the starters get a series or two in and then get them out of there.
