Affliction Day Of Reckoning: Fedor Emelianenko(-400) vs. Andrei Arlovski(+300)

That was a lighting-fast reaction by Fedor. He is the one who should consider crossing over into boxing if anyone.

If the rumors of Arlovski getting paid $1 million for this fight are true, then it was a good deal for him. He came back to reality pretty fast, and had nothing visibly wrong with his face - just given a little nap. Not a bad payday for 3 minutes worth of work.

just as an FYI for any MMA fans, Versus has a pretty good card tonight.

It's the WEC league, but if you haven't seen Urijah Faber he's pretty amazing.

I'm not an MMA expert by any means, but I've seen Faber fight 2 times now, and I've been extremly impressed. He will most likely dominate Jens Pulver.

Boxing sucks. I mean, the paydays are better...but I won't watch it.

I should have explained it better. In a pre-fight interview, Arlovski's boxing trainer Freddie Roach proclaimed that Arlovski would next fight in pro boxing and would soon be contending for the heavyweight belt.

In light of what we saw last night, I think Arlovski would be the least successful of the 2 in the hypothetical that either of them made the switch. Fedor's short, right cross for the KO looked a lot like Iron Mike's left cross of old.
