Affliction Day Of Reckoning: Fedor Emelianenko(-400) vs. Andrei Arlovski(+300)

Affliction ^^^

Watching this fight was somewhat awkward for me. I thought AA's hand speed was looking damn good. Fedor looked slow at times....Just when i'm thinking something crazy might happen to a legend I see AA laying on the floor asleep...At first I was hoping this wasn't going to be another one of those MMA 'questionable happenings",then the replay finally came on and I was in disbelief lol...He plays a mad scientist with brick fists. I really think AA would give anybody a fight by the way he was looking out there. One hell of a knockout he was given.

what league were they fighting in tonight? I'm not up on my MMA.

Tonght was Affliction, the leftovers from Pride being bought out by UFC. Pretty much everyone tonight used to fight in PRIDE, but didn't sign with UFC.

For a Fedor V Lesnar match to happen, I believe Dana White (UFC) would have to quit being such a douche. I don't see that happening.

Yeah, I was thinking the same, when he went down and they took forever to show the replay I was like "something smells fishy here" but then the replay showed it was just a perfectly timed shot. I guess the questions about Arlovskis chin are there for a reason.

I'm thinking if Fedor beats Barnett and Lesnar beats Mir, it may be the only legit fight left in the heavyweight division.

Who knows? I'd pay money to see that one.

That is one fight I'd like to see.

I don't think he'd knock Brock out, but I'm sure he could submit him....

Lesnar has to beat Mir first.

I don't know how interested I would be, maybe if Brock had a few more years under his belt, then I could amass some interest, but right now it would take the perfect punch from Brock to even stand a chance, Fedor is just too seasoned.

Well it's going to be a while either way I think, so there's that for you.

I don't think Lesnar will be in any rush to fight Fedor.

And that's why I said "if lesnar beats mir".

Meh, it's gonna be awhile anyway. Lesnar V Mir is what...about four months away at the earliest? Then you have Fedor V Barnett which I'd say is maybe six months away? I'm guessing here...

Then you have to negotiate that fight...I mean, if Brock gets some serious training with the best...who knows?

Fedor has beat bigger men, and better...I guess it's just the next fight I'd like to see in the heavyweight division.

My guess is that eventually Fedor will get too old, and someone will catch him. I just hope that when he loses, it's a fucking great fight.

I've thought all along that Barnett would be a very tough out for Fedor. His combo of size/strength/athleticism could give Fedor some trouble. Should be a solid matchup. It's funny that these two have never met considering they have been in the same organizations for years.
