AFC Championship Game: Ravens at Steelers(-4.5)

That is fricking ridiculous...how does the ground cause it to be incomplete.....

I can see the ground causing it if the player hasn't established himself on the turf yet.

But Santonio had taken 3 steps, albeit dragged steps as the defender had his legs. But he showed possesion, clear possesion, he actually transitioned the ball into his right arm and had it tucked possesion.

And yet since the ground caused the ball to come loose on the goalline, they make an awful ruling.

You have possesion when you are capable of catching it and putting it away, and reaching with it.

Again, common sense should prevail.

LOL........That is unreal.

He plants two feet, and dives for the TD.

His control of the ball is as clear as day. Such an awful ruling. Common sense should prevail.

That rule has been driving me nuts all year.

They have leeway when the player makes a "football move". Why is it not a football move when the receviver catches it, switches the ball to his right arm, and makes a dive at the endzone?

The officials blew it, IMO. They tried to go by the book, but the book even says they [censored]ed it up.

It pains me to say it but I think the Steelers blow open a tight game in the second half, much like they did against the Chargers.

Had a feeling this one would get away from the Ravens. It just happened sooner than I thought.
