AFC Championship Game: Ravens at Steelers(-4.5)

I remember in 1994 the Steelers beat the then-Browns-now-Ratbirds twice in the regular season and everyone jumped on the bandwagon that it was next to impossible to beat a good team 3 times in the same year. The Steelers waxed the Browns/Ratbirds worse in the playoff game than either of the two regular season games.

That of course was a divisional round game and not an AFC championship game. The Steelers have gone, I think, 1-5 in those games when they host it since Cowher took over.

Long story short I'm slightly more confident this week than last but the ghosts of AFC championship game bit spittings past are fresh in my memory. Its only play money so I'll go with the Steelers again and hope the new man has a better result in these games than the Chin did.

I could be wrong, but I think the playoff game was as angry as I've ever been at an officiating crew, and I was probably 10.

The Browns were winning, Pittsburgh is punting; they snap the ball after the play-clock has run dead, the referee throws a flag but doesn't stop play, and the Browns rough the punter.

The play should have died, but they weren't able to stop the play in time. The personal foul stood, even though the play should have never happened.

I'm not sure that was the correct call to this day......too bad there weren't message boards when I was 10.

You just have to love the hypocrisy of receiving the ex-Browns with open arms, all while continuing to curse the Colts for leaving. [censored] Baltimore.

There are very few teams I dislike more than the Steelers and Baltimore is one of them. Go Stillers!

Living in Indy this has always cracked me up about how Baltimore hates Indy for stealing the Colts.....really and how do you think Cleveland feels.....
