Alleged shooter says he's being framed, Pacman ordered shooting at club

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- A man charged with shooting three people outside a Las Vegas strip club has denied he was involved and accused Adam "Pacman" Jones of ordering the shooting and framing him to avoid identifying the real shooter.

Arvin Kenti Edwards of Renton, Wash., is being held in a Washington state jail on $1 million bail pending extradition to Nevada. He talked with WTVF-TV in Nashville by phone for a report that aired Wednesday.

Edwards told the TV station in a telephone interview that Jones lied to police about the Feb. 19, 2007, shooting at the Minxx club that left an employee paralyzed and two other people wounded. Edwards said Jones paid someone for the shooting, but that it wasn't him.

Emmitt stops by Cowboys camp, advises Pacman to make 'better choices'

IRVING, Texas -- Emmitt Smith has some advice for suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones: Stay out of trouble.

"As long as you're not killing anybody, getting anybody shot at and going to jail, then I don't have any issues," said Smith, NFL career rushing leader. The former star running back for Dallas was visiting Cowboys rookie minicamp Saturday.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Jones last year for repeatedly violating the league's personal conduct rules. He's been arrested six times and has been involved in 12 matters requiring police intervention.

ESPN - Cowboys owner thinking of using Pacman on offense too - NFL

Cowboys owner thinking of using Pacman on offense too

The Dallas Cowboys don't know when Pacman Jones can join them to begin workouts. When he does he might be studying the offense playbook.

Owner Jerry Jones said that Jones might be asked to play some wide receiver next season, according to a Fort Worth Star Telegram report on Thursday.

"In my mind there isn't a player out there in a given game or looking at next year, that could make a bigger impact to take some of the heat off of Terrell [Owens] than Terry Glenn," Jones said. "I think potentially we could get some of those offensive plays that Adam 'Pacman' Jones ran over at Tennessee -- he had 15, 20 of them, got in the slot. That could help us there, too."

Although Jones showed running skills as a return man, the Tennessee Titans didn't employ him much on offense. He has run the ball twice for eight yards and caught two passes for 31 yards in his two-year NFL career.

Cowboys told Pacman will be reinstated for opener

ESPN.com news services

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has informed the Dallas Cowboys that cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been fully reinstated, making him eligible to play in the regular-season opener in Cleveland.
The NFL was expected to make a formal announcement later Thursday.
"It feels good man, you know, to get a second chance and I just have to take advantage of it," Jones told The Dallas Morning News. "First and foremost, I don't want to let myself down, definitely my little girl down. I'm thankful for Jerry [Jones], the fans in Dallas and my teammates for believing in me. I need to keep doing what I've been doing to get reinstated, staying with myself and my teammates and staying away from those knuckleheads and just stay focused."

Horrible trade. If I were Tennessee I wouldn't have included any retribution for more suspensions. They should have worked that out in his contract. If he gets suspended his gives back everything over the league min. Pacman has to be up there for being dumbest person alive. Now if Vick starts dog fighting again when he gets out of jail he might take it over.
