Adam "Pacman" Jones (Cincinnati Bengals)

  @ Jerry Jones

Jerry might actually have the last laugh...

But the trade stipulations also said that if he was suspended again, instead of getting a sixth-rounder the Titans would give up a fifth-rounder.

The only downside for Dallas is the timing. The secondary is thin with injuries and it just got thinner. Pacman needs to just go away.

IRVING ? While Cowboys players and team officials have appeared to move on regarding twice-suspended cornerback Adam Jones, there is a slim chance he could be welcomed back.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said the team is open to bringing back the troubled player if he is reinstated by commissioner Roger Goodell.
We just don't know," Jones said. "If he does what's asked of him to get back into the league, then he's earned a look."

Horrible trade. If I were Tennessee I wouldn't have included any retribution for more suspensions. They should have worked that out in his contract. If he gets suspended his gives back everything over the league min. Pacman has to be up there for being dumbest person alive. Now if Vick starts dog fighting again when he gets out of jail he might take it over.

I'm not sure that article is accurate. I thought the stipulation was contingent on if Goodell let Pac Man play this year. Why is it Tennessee's fault that Pac Man was granted permission to play, but lost his rights to play mid-season due to a fight? I could easily be wrong, but I think the writer is confusing Goodell's initial ruling of whether Pac Man would be allowed to play. Remember, the trade was completed before Pac Man was granted reinstatement.

NEW YORK -- Suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones has entered an alcohol treatment center.
The oft-troubled player has checked into a facility "in another part of the country," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told The Associated Press on Monday.
"It's totally done through and by the NFL," Jerry Jones said.
The NFL said Monday it would not comment.
The league suspended Adam Jones for at least four games last Tuesday for again violating its personal conduct policy.

Commissioner leaves door open for Jones return after rehab

Associated Press

Updated: October 24, 2008, 9:38 AM ET

NEW YORK -- NFL commissioner Roger Goddell is leaving open the possibility that suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones could play again in the NFL, but made it clear the oft-troubled player must first work through his off-field issues. The commissioner said on ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike in the Morning show that he's grown weary of the trouble caused by Jones, who checked into an alcohol treatment facility after his latest suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

"I've been consistent on this one. He has to recognize his responsibility to play in the NFL," Goodell said from London, where the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints are preparing to play Sunday.

Pacman's status in limbo, but Phillips isn't planning on suspended CB's return

Associated Press

Updated: November 17, 2008, 7:09 PM ET

IRVING, Texas -- Suspended Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones must keep waiting to find out whether he can resume his NFL career.
When commissioner Roger Goodell punished Jones last month, he said the suspension would be reviewed after four games -- and the fourth was Sunday. So now the wait is on for Goodell to make a ruling.

"Nothing to report on it," league spokesman Greg Aiello wrote in an e-mail Monday.
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said Monday he didn't have any details.

NFL reinstates Adam 'Pacman' Jones

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The NFL is giving Adam "Pacman" Jones another chance.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday the suspended cornerback has been reinstated by league commissioner Roger Goodell, but he must miss two more games - this Sunday and the following game on Thanksgiving. He'll be back Dec. 7 at Pittsburgh.

Goodell suspended Adam Jones indefinitely on Oct. 14, saying he'd put a timeframe on it after the cornerback missed at least four games. This decision means it will be a six-game suspension. Jones also missed the entire 2007 season. By the time he returns, he will have been suspended from 22 of a possible 28 games.

I've been a Cowboys longer than many people have been alive but Jerry Jones continues to test my loyalty. Pacman Jones is a bum. I was hoping Goodell would suspend him for the rest of the season, and Jerry would release him.

Instead, the circus is back in town. This guy was never worth the garbage that comes with him. :shake:
