Boeheim is in some measure of trouble, in the court of public opinion at least. It's one thing to be supportive while reserving the right to re-evaluate. It's another thing to attack the motives of the accuser/alleged victim the way he did.

You have to admit though, he's getting much better legal advice than Paterno. Contrast his statement today with what Joe had to say on the front porch.

Amazing what happens when you don't use nepotism to choose you representation.

As soon as I saw Boeheim's comments I thought that he had hung himself. It was absolutely ludicrous the stance he took relative to Fine and the potential victims.

IMHO he should be gone....

Dan Patrick on his radio show really did bring up a good point as to why ESPN didn't go to the police, if the network had a taped conversation.

Just with its power (and the network doesn't care about backlash or criticism), sometimes its good to have checks on ESPN (like former employee Dan Patrick and certain Sports Illustrated columnists).

I would love those aholes at ESPN to have to answer some tough questions about this. Unfortunately, they have the microphones and cameras and get to set the agendas. Unless, of course, they are subpoenaed. :sneaky:
