Kind of. Sure, it helped not having to play Duke, UNC, or BC twice. But we beat Maryland twice and VT once.

Actually I think it's more accurate to say that we wasted the weak conference schedule rather than benefitted. Had the chance to close out the #1 seed and blew it by losing to the two worst teams. Could've had an opening game against FSU instead, who pretty much rolled over and played dead against UNC.

I'm gonna look at it as a blessing in disguise though (only way to put a happy face on losing to NC State.) JR Reynolds has been hurting and a couple extra days off, rather than having to fight through the ACC, should be helpful for the Dance.

Nice run by NC St. in the ACC tourney.

Speaking of run, I hope their tired legs (they don't sub much, and will be playing their 4th day in a row) will be ready for Carolina coming at them in waves.

The ACC final could get uglier than Hansbrough's facemask.

Brandan Wright scored 20 points and North Carolina moved a step closer to its first Atlantic Coast Conference tournament title in nine years by defeating Boston College yesterday in Tampa, Fla. The Tar Heels, seeded No. 1 after sharing the ACC?s best regular-season record with Virginia, will face 10 th-seeded North Carolina State today in the championship game.

finally ! A BB game to watch. I was just about ready to watch a tape of my dau when she was 8 and played BB :biggrin:
This game determines if State gets into the dance and possibly a N01 seed for UNC
