ACC Men's Tournament 2007

Wake wins...Say hello to the NIT Ga. Tech?
Nah. I think GT squeezes in as a 10 or 11 seed. The wins over BC and UNC overshadow the loss to Wake, especially since it was a 2OT loss. I think GT has the better resume than FSU.

Rough night for the high seeds in the ACC. #5-#8 knocked out by #9-#12....all upsets (if you call FSU over Clemson an upset).

my bet is that they're still in. they're 8-8 against the rpi top-50. only 19 teams ranked ahead of them claim a .500 or better percentage against the top-50. they're 7-3 for their last 10 games. they have victories over unc, memphis, boston college, and duke. they claim only 4 losses to non-tournament teams (though, i'm not sure that's a commendable stat). they have a remarkably similar resume to michigan state's, except that gtu has better wins and msu has better losses.

I am guessing 11 or 12 seed...
considering that they were about a 9/10 seed going into the game, i think 11/12 is fair. they're young, with their top-3 scorers being two freshmen and a sophomore. the committee gives credit to youth when the finish is rather strong.

Florida St. playing horribly...They were in it, but they let UNC score 6 points in the last 50 seconds and then the coach got a T to finish the half...

Down 10 at halftime...This is why FSU is not a tourney team, they are way to inconsistent...
