A thump post: What are you currently drinking post!

Peach, the Hocus Pocus is quickly becoming one of my favorite summer ales. Definitely try it out. Are the other Magic Hat brews good?

Sushi, didn't see your post until now, but I did pick up a bottle of the Tanqueray Rangpur (as well as a bottle a Leblon cachaca and a bottle of Svedka). I actually really liked it...tried a little straight on ice and it has a really smooth flavor with hints of lime and bay leaf. Then made myself a nice G&T and I thought it was pretty good...maybe not enough to start buying it as my regular gin behind the bar but enough that I am glad I tried it out. Ever try Plymouth gin? I know a few people who swear by it as the smoothest gin around. I prefer Bombay Spahire but I am interested in trying Plymouth as well.

I like Magic Hat #9. It has a sort of apricot flavor to it. The Circus Boy is pretty good if you like Hefeweizen.

Maybe I need to give the Rangpur another try. The lady at the liquor store gave us a free "nip" of it, so that's all I've had. I just remember there were some flavors going on that didn't quite fit together very well, which is weird because I usually love drinks with that "botanical" flavor. Maybe I just prefer the cucumber taste (Hendricks, Rogue) to the lime flavor.

Yep. Those are the two I like. The #9 is my favorite - it has a very slight apricot flavor - not too fruity. And I do like hefeweizens, so I enjoy the Circus Boy quite a bit. I wasn't crazy about their H.I.P.A., but I'm not a huge fan of IPAs in general. Haven't tried any of the others yet.

The NY Times rated Plymouth as its favorite gin in a martini taste-testing. i think its pretty good too. Citadel Gin and Hendrick's are definitely worth tasting...

... dammit, now I'm getting thirsty.

Back when I worked in Hanover Square I would be making my way over to Harry's right about now...
