Carmen Ohio

All-American
There's growing speculation that Ohio State and Michigan will play again for the National Championship... indeed I think I was the first person to mention it on this forum. This would be possible if there are no undefeated teams except for the Ohio State-Michigan winner and the game is close. Has anybody else noticed that OSU keeps getting better and Michigan is slipping? Yeah I know, Manningham is recovering from knee surgery, but should the so-called #2 team in the country be that affected by one non-quarterback injury?

I would not be suprised if Michigan lost to Indiana and I would be surprised if Ohio State doesn't crush them on November 18th.The fact is, this season you have Ohio State... then everybody else. Have you noticed that nearly every "classic showdown" we've had this year turned into a one-sided John Saunders interrupted yawner?

Michigan plummets in the BCS after a 31-13 convincing loss to Ohio State.

I would be suprised if Indiana beat Michigan, they've got a great defense this year and Indiana's OL is going to leak weasels all game.

As for The Game, all the stats say OSU is unstoppable and UM is vulnerable. But this is The Game, Henne and Hart are going to be out to prove themselves, manningham is expected back, I don't think this will be a blowout. I'm thinking 27-20.

Edit: I'm looking at UM this year and thinking about us in '02, with clarett out our offense was less than spectacular, Manningham is their big play guy and is their only real way to stretch the field, like clarett was pretty much our only way to run the ball. But the defense always came up with a stop when we needed it and we kept winning. UM has a suffocating defense this year, should be interesting to see if they can come up with the big play in the clutch.

The only thing that would be more wrong than putting the winner of UL/WV game in the NC game by the virtue that one knocked off the other is to play back to back Ohio State Michigan games. That's when you know that the college football has been handled to people who don't give a shiite about the game and whose only concern is about maximizing profits.

Let's be careful, I remember almost everyone outside of Ohio saying it was "Miami...then everybody else" until we beat them in the NC game.
ding ding ding, be careful here.. luckly the players dont feel the same way, remember the miami players thought they were head and shoulders better too.. thats the diffrence in a tressel coached team; focus.

I absoLUTEly agree that Indiana could beat Michigan. Kellen Lewis is awesome and after this year he might be the best QB in the big ten. I don't think Indiana is even going to TRY to run the ball against Michigan.

But... let's hope that doesn't happen.

Another thread asked if any QB had ever beaten scUM three years in a row. It sounds like it's been 70 yrs. since that's happened. Don't you think that Meatchicken players know this?? They are going to be so BENT on stopping Troy.

It either means they will be psyched out and just turn into jelly when we are on Offense --- or else it means that they are going to play us really tough and we are going to win by only oh... twenty four points. Like 38-14. That sounds about right!

I also think we're going to see five or six roughing the passer calls against scUM because their only hope of beating us is to knock #10 out of the game.

but first... we gotta beat Illinois. Another Ohio Native (Loudenville) who would love to beat OSU. As Tressel said, two weeks on the road, windy conditions in November ... these next two games are going to be a test of our focus level!

Go Bucks! Go coaching staff!!!

This is football people, anyone can win on any day. Yes, the buckeyes are amazing, yes we have tressel, yes we have troy, BUT its football and records do not matter when it comes to THE GAME. My faith is strong in Tressel and Troy on november 18 but dont start saying its over until it is.

I keep telling myself that every week, but then I keep remembering that shadow of a doubt I ignored in big games every other season. You know what I mean... Vince Young can't do it in The Shoe, the PSU defense and Michael Robinson aren't that good, Chris Perry can't do it to us, etc. I haven't had that shadow of a doubt past the first quarter of any game this year. Michigan is playing defense like we did last year... yes we were great, but we lost two games. We're playing defense like it's an offense and we have a "new" Troy Smith they haven't seen. Howard and Woodson had their Heisman moments against us... it's Troy's turn.
