A New Take On THE Rivalry

The Big Ten in general needs to stick together (this includes scUM)... I want the best for tOSU, this means I also want the Big Ten to do well (so in a way I want scUM to do well)...

Outside of the bandwagon fans I think most tOSU and scUM fans respect each others programs... nice to hear they aren't bashing us...

I understand the relationship we have with Michigan and I don't intend to sit here and say I have never rooted for them against an out of league team. I have. But I could probably count on one hand the amount of times I have rooted for them. Even if I start rooting for them in a game the first time they start fucking up, I'm the first one in the room to start heckling those bastards. I hate watching them do well because no matter who they play, it seems like a direct disrespect to us. Weird I know. But that's the way I feel. Not to mention everything this rivalry means when we do play each other. And on top of that, every time you see a Michigan player doing something good on a highlight or something, they are playing us. It's like the world looks for those times when Charles Woodson burnt us deep, and any time they do good, I just feel like I should hate them for that. I will go to my grave hating UM with a passion. That is just the way it has to be.

got a good point, theyve got a fine athletic program but hey lets face it michigan fans hate us and we have to do the same in return....i understand that you root for your brother and repsect him, which i can personally relate too but osu-michigan is no brotherhood.....its rivalry....mich fans talk so much crap to us im not going to say we're best buds screw that and screw the blue GO BUCKS FOR LIFE!!!

yes i repsect michigan just as they should repsect us since both have fine athletic programs but this is the biggest rivalry in sports....come on

I hate scUM football, and I hate most of their fans. I have met a few who are cool and enjoy talking football with them. I hope they win every non-conference game and lose every other year to MSU and every year to tOSU. When they play Notre Dame I want them to win by 100, and when they play the southern california condoms I want them to win by 75. If they ever play the nebraska cornfuckers I hope they win by 200 and tackle the coach. I used to want them to lose every game because I hate them so much, but that's illogical. They need to be a good team and have a good record so we get more respect when we whip their ass. But I still hate them. I will repeat this lovely phrase:

FUCK MICHIGAN FOOTBALL

I hate Michigan. When Michigan plays no-der duh-aim.. I hope the stadium explodes. When I am sick of the media bashing the Big10, I hope everyteam but Michigan wins, in the rare occasion a scUM victory seems to be a good thing, well I just dont watch that game and say great, the big ten won.. I will never get excited for a Michigan victory...

Now, if Tennesee, or Alabama or any other dirty ass SEC school starts flinging mud at the university. I may be willing to defend it as an attack on the big ten.. but never to win a game.. fuck them.. and fuck charles woodson, and fuck desmond howard, and fuck biatchabatuka... oh good lord would someone kill tom brady..

oh, and fuck my gfs best friend who cant name more than 2 players but swears she is a michigan fan..

I have two types of hatred.
I will try to explain this using the Browns...
I hate scUM, I hate the Steelers, I hate the ravens.
I respect scUM and understand tOSU would not be what is without them.
Same with the Browns and Steelers.
However, if the ravens team plane crashed and killed everyone aboard, I would be happy (slight exaggeration, maybe).
But the difference is, I hate scUM and respect them at the same time.
I want scUM to be undefeated when we play them every year.
I want everything to be on the line for The Game, thats what makes it great.

desmond howard, elvis grbac, eric riley, gary grant, massey brothers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I hate traitors and ohio scum fans but, I cheer for all big ten teams and hope they win against other conferences teams to make the big ten look better to the media.

The media sucks more than scum ,usc, ndlosrs and miamillegaliens

But the rednecks from Ohio who root for Michigan just to piss people off are very annoying.
I agree I can't stand the amount of people that live here in Cincinnati that root for scUM. It's distgusting. How in the world do you become a scUmmer if you have absolutely no connections to the school what-so-ever and you were born and bred in the great state of Ohio? And with that being said, I agree...
FUCK MICHIGAN. FUCK THEM IN THEIR STUPID FUCKING ASSES!

The pathetic thing is that scUM could not be what it is without Ohioans, and other out of staters. Sure, OSU has had some great OOS players-Tatum,Corny Greene,Pete Johnson,etc.-but by and large OSU has been made great by Ohioans-both players and coaches. scUM has to go poaching in other states to get their players and coaches-and a big part of their apparell revenue as well. scUM has built its reputation on players who turned their backs on their home states, especially Ohio. If, hypothetically, I had a son who was offered to play football for scUM, but not OSU, I would inform them that they are persona non grata in my home for football season if they signed w/ scUM-I would root against them! If they are good enough to play for scUM, they would be good enough to play for NW or Stanford, so you can't toss out the great academics argument.......

I try and root for them when they're playing out of conference I do...but it tears my heart out. I generally dont have a problem with their fans or players...until they step into the stadium or onto the field...then I HATE them. I cant help it. No matter who they're playing I have a hard time rooting for them. It does make it easier when it's Notre Dame or USC, Miami, FSU, Nebraska, etc.

which is convenient since many of the Michigan fans I know actually went to school at Ohio U in Athens, and obviously never had a real football team of their own that was worth following.
I go to OU currently, and most people here are Buckeye fans. Probably cause theres a lot of people from Columbus and Cleveland. The cheering for the Bucks is louder at my apartment complex then it is in the stadium for the Bobcats.

Do people actually go to the games? When I was there (8 years ago) you got in free and could pretty much sit in the front row on the 50 yard line without getting there early, except for Marshall and Miami- then you had to get there at least a minute before kickoff for prime seats.

I've nothing but respect for OSU, and cheer for you much the same I do any other Big 10 team. The only teams I like to see fail are Miami, Florida State, and Notre Dame. Most the morons you see posting crap like Tre$$el are just high schoolers, I'd expect.

Why is this pathetic? Should Oklahoma be considered pathetic because it recruits more from TX than OK? Notre Dame only gets a few people from IN each year. Are they pathetic?

MI is a smaller and colder state. Half the state spends their time shoveling lake effect snow instead of playing football. We also have to compete with MSU in state; OSU is the only football power in OH. Of course OSU will have more OH recruits than Michigan has MI recruits.
