I was thinking of Rob Lytle but then he sucked so I couldn't think of any good scUM backs. I guess I'll go with Leroy Hoard as having the best NFL career out of all of them. Which is not much.

Tyrone Wheatley?
Anthony Thomas will be up there with their best with a couple more half-decent years...

Call it a burning hatred of the "New York Football Giants."

And people who refer to themselves as "the Schwam"
New York Football Giants doesn't bother me nearly as much as anyone saying Da-Ray-Ders or Stewie saying 'Illidelph.

This morning I attempted to attend to Big Ten kickoff luncheon's autograph session. I didn't have a ticket for the luncheon (I attended last year), but thought I could get some items signed. Unfortunately, this year they required a ticket to get into the autograph area.

So why is this post in the TSUN running backs thread?

I saw Jaime Morris standing a few feet away from me, talking to a couple of guys. I told my son, "That's Jamie Morris, former Michigan running back" - but no big deal to us. But some woman dressed in blue-and-urine was right behind me when I said it, and she literallly grabbed me and said "Is that somebody famous?" - so I said "Well, he was Michigan's all-time leading rusher for several years" - then she says "Do you think he'd have extra tickets for me?" to which I respond "I have no idea."

At that point Jamie finished his conversation, and the woman walked up to him and gave him a sob story about not having a ticket for the autograph session - and Jamie looked up into the air and then pulled a ticket out of his pocket and handed it to her, and she hustled away into the autograph session.

I smiled and said "So Jamie, would you have another ticket for a Buckeye?" - he said, "I checked my count and I'm all out." I laughed and said "the funny thing is that she didn't even know who you were until I told her." I said, "You still hold the NFL record for most carries in a game, don't you? Forty-five in December of '88." He nodded and gave me a strange look, and I said "Nice meeting you", shook his hand and left. No entry into the autograph session for me this year.

Anyway, thank to Tibs for asking the question about the NFL record earlier in this thread, so I was sure of my facts.

At the risk of trying to sound too up-to-date:

Ex-Bronco, Wolverine Lytle dead at 56

Rob Lytle, an All-American running back at Michigan who scored a touchdown in the 1978 Super Bowl as a Denver Broncos rookie, has died. He was 56.
He had a heart attack Saturday night in Fremont, Ohio, Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Chasity O'Neill said Sunday. Lytle had been taken by ambulance to the hospital with symptoms of a heart attack, she added.
