the lord has this one.

not sure of the year anymore honestly, but one year in the NFL (perhaps 97 but i would have said 96) raymont, eddie, and robert each rushed for a 1000.

not sure if it had ever happened before or since, but i think clinton portis and frank gore and possibly some other miami tailback are the biggest threat.

tennessee had some talent too with jamaal lewis and travis henry and possibly one other guy.

There may not be a 3rd, but what about UT with Ricky Williams and Priest Holmes.

Is it really that hard for OSU fans to remember than Eddie left OSU in 1995? :roll1:

Yeah, is it really hard for a Buckeye fan to remember that none of the three was at Ohio State in 1997, because each of them of them was rushing for over 1,000 yards in the NFL?

Genius, pure genius....

actually nobody asked for what year they ran for 1000, just when they were all on OSU at the same time.

i remember they had the BMW backfield.

was the B cedric benson as a freshman, not that he has a grand on his NFL resume but he would have a chance.

1997 the glorious pepe pearson era.

orlando pace is there in 96 and he goes for something like 1300 or 1400 yards.

orlando goes pro and pepe sets the low bar that only lydell ross could limbo under.

I'll certainly give you Robert Smith. Remember also that he was only a Buckeye for two years... which gets to my point: it's tough to get through a Big 10 Career and have anything left for the pros as a running back.

Penn State's Ki-Jana Carter and Curtis Enis were excellent college backs but did little in the pros. Same Same 'A' train, Chris Perry and Butchamafucka, Wisconson's Ron Dayne and Iowa's Tim Dwight.

No wonder MoC wanted to try and make the jump... which brings me to my final part, of the Michigan players hanging around for one more shot at the Buckeyes, Chris Hart has the mnost to lose in my opinion. He's not that big, he runs hard and right at people and he's already proven to be brittle...

Wasn't Tim Dwight a receiver at Iowa?
