Dayton - there was a contingent of my fraternity from Polk County Florida. We called them the Polk County Primitives because of their general mouth breathing backwoods ways. They had a small group called the Harlem Yacht Club. It featured a lifesaver style round floatie with the name of the group "HYC" across the top, with the bottom having a small cursive script "Aid and Succor to Negroes Met While Yachting".

I often wish I had a photo of that for blackmail purposes now that they are so-called respected members of the community. :paranoid:

Well DB did you find a shoe yet? Was not trying to pick on you.but the Bushwood Country Club hit my mind & I had to do it! That is the devil on my shoulder. Forgive me?
When I went boating I wore sandals or flip flops! I never got the luxury of yachting. Nice pair of leather slip on casuals with a lace tie would be nice.:wink2:
