Just got off the phone with 808 Buck. He lives much closer to the shore than I do, but fortunately he's just outside the designated evacuation zone and he sounded good and he and family are doing fine. The tsunami warnings have cancelled my cycling clinic's ride and 808's daughter's soccer game, but other than that the situation hasn't been too distruptive to us Hawaii BPers...yet.

Guess I better cut back on my weather jokes. Been an interesting morning in my community to say the least. Gas stations were swamped (maybe that's a bad choice of words :biggrin:), and the shopping center was packed. Saw a lot of people moving their boats. On the bright side, I was supposed to ref my daughter's soccer game, and the makeup date is scheduled when we are going to Maui for spring break, so I got out of that. But, as Mili already said, there's not much you can do except wait it out. The projections seem more positive now, but you never know with the ocean.

I missed the Bucks victory against TSUN this morning. My punishment will be to watch the last six Ohio State-Michigan football games as long as there is power.
