Game Thread #7 tOSU 18, Purdue 26 (Oct 17, Noon ET, BTN)

I live here in Hoosier/Boilermaker land, and everyone is whining and complaining about how many people there are in the stadium that are Buckeye fans. Then the next sentence out of their shithole is how much Purdue/IU sucks and OSU will trash them. Its true, but you just resolved your own issue dumbass.

Hilarious IMO:

Found this blurb on the AP wire about Ohio State's preparations for Saturday's game at Ross-Ade Stadium. Maybe Purdue officials should blow the horn even after this.
Ohio State's coaches are motivating the Buckeyes with annoying noises this week.
By playing Purdue's trademark train horn over and over and over again during practice, they're hoping to condition the players to a) not let it bother them during Saturday's game in West Lafayette and b) try to do enough to minimize the number of times Purdue blows the horn.

...

Still, Ohio State video coordinator Mark Quisenberry might not be the most popular guy around.
"There's a guy (named) Quiz who runs it," defensive lineman Cameron Heyward said. "And I wanted to strangle him."

Haha good. I hate noises like that, especially Penn State's lion "Rawrrawrrawrrr!!!"...Nothing can make a game extra annoying like an overplayed soundbite.
But it makes for funny videos when they try to use it to drown out Ohio State fans though.

Fumble-palooza 2009

It was pointed out in the BP preview that Purdue is actually a half-way decent team that produces bad results because of the 20 turnovers they've had this year.

It would be one thing if those turnovers could be all attributed to one person. Then Danny Hope could just bench the culprit.

They thought they had identified that person early on...

Valentin (#17) had 4 of the teams first 6 fumbles on the year. They changed some things up on kick returns - and waddayaknow - the last 5 fumbles (which have occurred in their last 90 minutes and 40 seconds of football), have ALL been by different players. In fact, apart from Valentin, only the QB (Elliott) has multiple fumbles, both of which occurred when he was sacked. All of the other fumbles have been by different personnel.

All of the skill position starters have gotten into the act. Valentin is listed as being on both the KR and PR teams for the Ohio State game, and they have a QB that has fumbled twice while being sacked (somewhere Heyward and Gibson are drooling and they don't know why).

This is going to be U-G-L-Y
