Can't wait. Go Bucks!

Just to add- this was when Purdue was ranked #23 in the country, at night- and the Buckeyes still took over 70% of the stadium. Now it's a 1-5 Purdue team at Noon? No way Purdue fans show up.

I was sitting right there in the middle of that top section on the bottom row...

Brutus is going to be balls deep this week up in Pete's a$$... Game Week.

PS... the stadium reeked of $hit most of the game.

:oh:

I think we see Mr. Berry this weekend as well...if Boom can't go.

I think you're right. Saine should see most of the workload until it we get up 3 TD's. Then I think you'll see Hall & Berry splitting carries. Tressel wants to get a lot of reps for the offense this week. So I would expect a lot of long, sustained drives in the second half. Aggressive in the first half to give Terrelle some confidence. Conservative in the second half to accumulate reps and give Tressel some good data to look at in the film room.

Per Tressel:

"I?m the eternal optimist, I keep waiting for Jamaal Berry to be healthy because when he?s been healthy he?s been very, very good, but right now it?s Brandon and Jordan. But Jamaal Berry has been back, got a lot of reps. He had to run a lot of John Clay last week but he got some of our stuff. And we?re just going to have to share."

This sounds very fine.

Yes, that time out was boneheaded and basically gave the Irish a free play. They didn't have any time outs and would have had to spike the ball and go for it on fourth down. With the time out, ND got two chances to punch it in. I don't know if Hope called it himself though.

ND wouldn't have had to spike it, the guy on second down was tackled with about 35 seconds left. They could have taken their time, and easily hiked the third down play with about 15 seconds left. As long as that's a pass into the end zone and there's no sack on third down, they'd have had time for a 4th down play. The announcers acted like Weis was telling Clausen to spike it on third down. That could have been a fake signal to try to trick the defense, or Weis is actually a total moron regarding clock management. I'm not sure what the answer is.

Purdue can move the ball, but turnovers have killed them in their last two games. They had a 21-3 lead on NW'ern and a 10-0 lead on Minny, and they were killed by fumbles on kickoff returns, a 7-yard punt last week, and other turnovers.

Will the Buckeyes show up interested? Or will this be a flat/down week?
I like to think the offense will want to make a statement this week...........

Will Taos put the bong down long enough to post another dry, generic query? Or will he puff himself into a dope-induced stupor deep enough to last through the entire college football weekend?

I am pretty sure that they were going to spike it. Clausen was also motioning as if that was the plan when they were hurrying to the line.

I'm not saying they weren't going to, I'm saying that they would have been morons to do so, and that Purdue's coach was within reasonable thinking to realize that ND had plenty of time to run two plays, and to think that the timeout would be more beneficial to his defense.

Boilers giving up an average 30 a game. Offense shouldn't be a problem for our kids.
Rush defense giving up 167yds a game.
Pass defense giving up 111 a game. Not bad. But if you can run for 167, why throw it much?
