Game Thread #7 tOSU 18, Purdue 26 (Oct 17, Noon ET, BTN)

I won't be posting until tomorrow night, as I'm hitting the road for West Lafayette early in the morning. I'll stick with 30-13 as my prediction.

Go Bucks!
I'll be heading out with my Dad, mom and Purdue grad sister around 8am (about 1 hour trip + gameday traffic).

Can't wait to see Ross-Ade in Scarlet and Gray.

I'm feeling 38-10.

FIFY :io:

My prediction: stellar performance by the D. The offense will do great as well, with Pryor running and passing for multiple TD's and no INT's. After the game, there will be the traditional whine-fest about the offense and how inept it is, with the usual demands to bench TP and fire Bollman. (Tress may be off the hook today.) Mark BJ May will talk about how awful TP is and how tOSU will lose to State Penn and M*ch*g*n, and Lou Holtcshcshcshhzhh's false teeth will fall out on live television as he delivers a scripted but animated monologue praising ND and talking about they will win a NC this year.

Purdue has been so bad because of turnovers at key points in games. If they get that right, this game may be closer than many people think here. Four of their losses are by a touchdown or less and they have put at least 20 points on the board against everyone.

I don't think they get the turnover problem right against this defense. The Silver Bullets are back and, dadgummit, we may darn well ride them to a national championship this year or next.

A shutout is possible and the guys will realize that they need to win convincingly to not fall in the polls. So, I think that the score will be about 35-10.

Nothing keeps you from fixing your turnover problems like a strong front four.

The only thing that holds this score down on OSU's end is Tressel-ball.

Our D will dominate, but there can be an element of luck to pulling the shutout.

By the middle of the third quarter it is a complete OSU home crowd.

42-3.
