#7 Gonzaga +6.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 134.5) Sat 2:45 ET, CBS

Fantastic win Buckeyes. Definitely had its frustrating/what the (censored) moments, but you will have those. Gonzaga is a very good basketball team and I am proud of how we battled!!!!

SWEET 16!! lets get past it this year :)

GO BUCKS!!!! :drunks::banger::banger:

Great effort. Looked like Craft only got 1 foot down after his hands were out of bounds. Good call.

Is it 2 feet like the NFL?

I really don't know. That one doesn't happen often.

No matter. It is what it is now. Gotta play defense.

According to Bilas:

Tough call for Ohio State. Craft re-established himself inbounds before touching the ball. All he has to do is have one foot inbounds.

Bilas is not correct. It did not matter if Craft re-established himself. After going out of bounds, he could not be the first player to touch the ball.

Section 4. Player Out of Bounds
Art. 1. A player who steps out of bounds under his/her own volition and then
becomes the first player to touch the ball after returning to the playing court
has committed a violation.

Bilas is probably confusing it with the rule on an inbound play.

Art. 2. After the throw-in is completed, the thrower-in must touch the
playing floor inbounds before touching the ball.

Does his hand touching the floor out of bounds count as him being out of bounds thus making him ineligible to be the first to touch the ball? I get that you can't save it to your self but he fell to the ground, then grabbed the ball with his feet in bounds.

You're correct. It was later pointed out to him by someone in response to his tweet and he acknowledged it was the correct call. I should have known better than to listen to Bilas over BB73 in the first place.

That rule doesn't make sense - why wouldn't you be able to touch the ball after you've established yourself in bounds? Anyway, Craft didn't step out of bounds, his hand was out of bounds. So, as bizarre as it seems, I don't think it applies.

His hand touching is still considered out of bounds.

Of course it counts as out of bounds. Think about it.

I have to admit that I was impressed with Gonzaga. They fought hard, didn't fold the tent when Ohio State went up by 10 to start the second half and very easily could have won this game.

But we do move on to the next round robin. Am I wrong, Dude?
