Diebs is having a terrible game on the defensive end. The pick and roll or just drive is killing us right now. They made a couple shots from the corner and our guys have quit denying the drive. We have to keep them out of the paint the second half and Tennessee will start to struggle with their outside shot.

Outstanding minutes by Simmons! ET needs to be patient like he was the first few minutes and Buford is getting easy baskets.

I feel good overall right now though.

We missed Lighty on defense. We'll need him to stay on the floor in the second half.

Aside from that major problem, the guys can't really do much else right now. I just hope that Thad keeps using the zones on D instead of man. They (Tenn.) seem a little lost against the zone.

This is worse than Hightower.

At least Hightower sucks across the board. These guys have called a tight game against tOSU, but swallowed the whistle when UT was on defense.

Give me Hightower and his antics over blatantly uneven officiating every time.

Worst part is, this is shaping up to be a GREAT game, as long as the refs BACK THE FUCK OFF.

Those are both examples of beating a man to man defense. Me thinkey we play much more zone in the second with David back in the line-up roaming under the hoop. Honestly, Thad chose the lessor of two poisons by going to man once Lighty left the court. You go zone, and you move Turner underneath the hoop and risk fouls, or you put Buford down their and you're asking him to bang with Williams and Chism...not such a good idea.

A 3 point lead at the half is a helluva job...especially by Jeremie who knocked down 3 trey's and made up for the points he was indirectly giving up bu being on the court.

Let's get David back, confuse them on defense, and get back to our late transition fast break offense and open this bitch up.

I think the problem the refs are running into is Tennessee is fouling a lot, and Ohio State is not fouling at all. UT did have almost twice as many fouls called on them. The refs see that disparity instead of calling the game correctly.

Tennessee has 9 fouls. We have 5 fouls.

They haven't "swallowed the whistle" for UT. The problem is most of those 14 fouls were ticky-tack fouls, including the two quickies on Lighty.

that's a really good point...refs scoreboard check team fouls the entire game.
