I agree with what you said. I have no problem with the scoring as you showed. I have problems with the scoring from the others. If one of the ones you mentioned gets into foul trouble or injured then we could have a problem.OSUBasketballJunkie;700581; said:Last night we had terrific balance....Cook 23, Oden 18, Hunter 16, Butler 15 and Lighty 10 points. I liked our spacing on offense and the fact we didn't force feed Oden and everyone got their shots within the flow of the game. The one thing that concerns me is our perimeter defense against the three....we need to really improve on that aspect. Overall, it was a good win and a much needed confidence boost going into Indiana.
I am just saying I would like to see everyone on the team do some scoring. Better to have 9 players scoring than 5.
They dont constantly score when needed as with Fla.OSUBasketballJunkie;700590; said:This team doesn't always get the same scoring from the same people, Lewis may have been scoreless last night and Harris was pretty quite but they have shown the ability to score when needed, like at UNC. I just think there are only going to be so many touches for everyone and the simple fact they do not rely on just a few players for scoring makes them that much more difficult to defense.
They dont constantly score when needed as with Fla
They also shouldn't depend on five players to do the scoring.

COLUMBUS The waiting was the hardest part for No. 6 Ohio State. Seven days after getting thumped 86-60 by defending national champion Florida, the Buckeyes shoved that ugly memory a little farther away with a 91-54 victory over overmatched Coppin State on Saturday night.

OHIO STATE MEN
Butler does it for OSU

Columbus- After a second-half bounce pass into the corner, OSU junior guard Jamar Butler yelled "In, in" at Buckeye forward Othello Hunter.
Hunter listened, bounced a pass to center Greg Oden in the lane and the 7-footer backed in for a layup and a foul. Working over a Coppin State team without a player taller that 6-7, Oden tied a career-high with 18 points and set a career high with 16 rebounds in his sixth game as a Buckeye on Saturday. Butler was smart enough to get his teammates to exploit that.

As for the peremiter defense that is still boggling my mind trying to figure out why teams shoot so well against us.
We got beat by Fla because we lost our composure.OSUBasketballJunkie;700613; said:No one scored against Florida, we got dominated and taken behind the woodshed. I don't think you are seeing my point, in college basketball it is difficult to put 4-6 players in double figures on a consistent basis, but the Buckeyes are getting it done and it usually is a different combination each game. The fact that Lewis didn't score last night is not alarming in my opinion, he has consistently been a scorer much of the year but the team has had to transition from a perimeter team to a balanced team who can score inside and outside.
I don't believe most teams have five guys that can do most of the scoring, most teams have 3-4 guys who do the bulk of the scoring but on Ohio State we have a legitimate 7 players who can score on a given night, I don't know how this does not make them more difficult to defense.
I think this is a solid point about the DOSUBasketballJunkie;700643; said:My opinion is that we are just late on our defensive rotation, especially when the ball is reversed on the perimeter. I don't know why they are getting open looks, you would think with Mr. Oden back there we would be overplaying and very aggresive on closing out on shooters.
