50/50 on Remaining Penn State Season

HILARIOUS!!! This will be a major wake up call for Nebraska and the fans of the B1G. More importantly, it will give them first hand knowledge of why we hate that school and her back assward, short bus riding fans.

Yes, for all you Nebraska fans planning on attending this game, be sure to wear a raincoat or something that is bodily fluid/human waste proof.

Yep, and leave your band at home. And don't walk by the frat houses. And don't park your car anywhere near the stadium, take a cab. And don't wear your team gear until you get inside the stadium. And don't purchase any food or drink from a vendor unless you see it made or poured right in front of you. And don't take your women folk with you. And don't go into a bathroom at the stadium in groups of less than 10. Other than that, it will be fine.

Actually Nebraska did play at Penn State a few years ago.

I'd say it's about 33/67

I think they go 0-3 and honestly the only game I think will be anywhere near close will be the Ohio State game.

I am going back and forth on this. Last week I would think they would go 0-3. After watching the Nebraska-Northwestern game, I was thinking State Penn could beat them. Now, with the scandal going on, I think they might be less than focused on Nebraska. I am back on the 0-3 bandwagon.

The recent Sandusky scandal is a wildcard; could motivate the team to "circle the wagons" or cause a downward spiral resulting from distaste for recent program history.

Setting that issue aside, I'd say PSU has about an 80% likelihood of beating Nebraska, 50% chance of beating us, and 20% chance against Wisconsin.

Laugh all you like, this team seems to know how to win. And they gave Alabama a pretty good game; nobody else in the B1G has yet played an opponent of that caliber.

Besides the Alabama game, neither has Penn State. Have you seen their schedule and who they have beaten? They have feed on some pretty week teams.

I don't know that I'd say they gave Alabama a pretty good game. It was 27-3 with 1:53 left when PSU scored a touchdown and converted a 2-point conversion to make it 27-11. Although PSU moved the ball at times, they turned it over 3 times and really never threatened Bama from the time it was 7-3. And that was in Happy Valley. Not that I think other Big Ten teams, aside from perhaps Wisconsin, would fare better against Bama this year.

Not sure this is a circle the wagons type of situation. If the players have an ounce of humanity, it's more of a sick in the pit of the stomach moment.

At any rate, I wonder how this will effect the team during the last few games of the season. I can't imagine something this awful happening in mid-season. Is there a precedent for such kind of behavior/revelations, and a team's W/L response?

My guess is that if Penn State does not qualify for the Big Ten Championship, they will decline a bowl game.
