50/50 on Remaining Penn State Season

My guess is that if Penn State does not qualify for the Big Ten Championship, they will decline a bowl game.

I was going to post this a couple of days ago.

Penn State should go to a bowl game, and donate their full share of B1G Bowl Revenue this year to organizations that aid in the treatment of sexually abused children.

It's an absolute no-brainer as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone still think PSU will win another game?

They lose to Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Nebraska game is up in the air. Nebraska is not that good this year, but State Penn has an inflated record by beating a lot of bad teams. Will State Penn rally and win a symbolic game for JoePa, or are they going to be unfocused and demoralized by everything that has happened? Not having JoePa (or McQueary) on the sidelines or calling plays is not going to be any different than what they have been doing all year.

Absolutely agree, that's a great idea.

I like the idea. I doubt that they do that, though.
My evidence for my guess was Ohio State after they fired Earle Bruce. But that was 1987, and this is 2011. In 1987, gas was less than a dollar, bread was a nickle, kickers kicked field goals with a tee, and football teams got a free bowl of soup for going to a bowl game. In 2011, football teams get a couple of bagillion dollars for going to a bowl game. I don't see Penn State turning that down.
I agree, though, that it would be a big PR move to donate that money.
