5 players suspended for 5 games in 2011 regular season (Appeal has been denied)

i prefer lots of running and puking before and after the bowl

well, if that's the accepted punishment for it, i'm cool with that. obviously since we don't know the exact nature of what happened its hard to speculate on what might happen to players involved, but what i'm saying is that whatever punishment is appropriate should be handed out and taken. no hemming and hawing about when or how much, if the punishment says "one game suspension effective immediately" then guess what, said player should serve a one game suspension effective immediately.

edit: and obviously, if the punishment says "pay the amount owed and take a compliance seminar" then that is totally fine too. and if there's no punishment at all because nothing was done wrong, theeennn uh MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL

Even though this is the rumor mill, let's all calm down, and think twice before posting.
no, lets be honest. if this is true, ill be the first to say, "kick them (however many) of the team." zero tolerance, none. not an ounce.

wearing the scarlet and gray is a privilege, not a right. thus it should be treated show. these kids knowingly take on the reputation of the state, the university, the team, the coaches, along with themselves. ive had enough of this seemingly all to regular occurrences, and the supposed ringleader is the alleged team leader who over the past two years has been nothing but one controversy after another...

I read a tweet a few minutes ago from a girl who slept with Cam Newton.

According to her on Cam's lower back it says:

"They gave my Dad $200,000
and all I got was this lousy tattoo".

I understand the need to police one's own team. But if a free tattoo is deemed sufficient "reward" to warrant missing a BCS bowl game, count me among the highly disgusted - with the NCAA, who saw fit to approve Cameron Newton's high-dollar streetwalking with papa as pimp.

Let me also say that anyone who holds Terrelle Pryor up to ridicule or censure as a result of this non-issue is dead to me. Dead.

I don't know the story here, but given how tatted up so many college athletes are, especially ones that come from tough backgrounds and wouldn't otherwise lack the means to pay for said body art, I suspect this is a veru common practice all around the country...at nearly every school. Also, given that some/most of this work does not include paperwork, I also suspect anything would be very difficult to prove. This reeks of some enterprising internet "journalist" trying to make a name for himself.

Well, the "no" at the start of your post did seem to indicate that you didn't want to calm down and think twice before posting.

I just showed this article: http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/multiple-buckeyes-inked-at-same-tattoo-parlor-29361 to my former roomate (who is mentioned in the article) , and he just texted that "LMAO, I haven't been tatted since freshman year"

I thought i'd try and make some fan happy.....too bad he wouldnt have made a difference in the game anyways lol. Cant speak for the starters!

To be honest, I think that this might not go anywhere. I have a feeling that the pics of certain players were used because their tats are very visible and most of them are key players...

Just a hunch

IF TRUE, i dont see how this is any different then when troy smith accepted 500 dollars from a booster and got suspended...in fact, most of the tattoos were probably double that...many big tattoos can take a whole 8 hour session and thats maybe just 1/3 of the whole tattoo...either way theres no difference from taking 5, 100 dollar bills or a 500 dollar tattoo...and the proof is impossible to get rid of which makes this whole fiasco, IF TRUE, look even dumber...better off taking 500 dollars cash...its alot harder to trace and prove that...i just pray none of this is true but theres no way JT's punishment is going to be a non-stop suicide drill until they puke their brains out
