5 players suspended for 5 games in 2011 regular season (Appeal has been denied)

It all sucks. I'm embarrassed and disappointed. Life will still go on.

The only perspective I'd like to see the program go with this is: What Would Woody Do?

Never heard of someone handling the lives of these young men better than Woody.

OSU declared them ineligible, NCAA reinstated them solely for the Sugar Bowl. I'll go out on a limb and say the NCAA wants them to play.
I agree the NCAA wants an entertaining and profitable Sugar Bowl, and prefers that they all play in the game. But they are not "ordering" them to play.
I'll go with the NCAA saying, "you don't have to do that", instead of "don't do that"

Since I bought tickets, I selfishly want to see them all play.

There is a problem, the players are already doing 5 games instead of the usual and customary 4. If Tressel does the the right thing, and holds them out of the Sugar Bowl, they could end up 6 instead of 4. That's like you as an attorney, telling the judge to give you client 6 years instead of 4 because it's the right thing.

Can has gold pants?

It's all Deety's cats fault. The cat was the one that bought the players gold pants. Everyone after that cat...

At this point, I'm hoping tOSU appeals that the suspensions begin ASAP, and the players are held out of the Sugar Bowl. Regardless of the outcome of this game, we are one of the top 5 programs of this decade. We need the negative press like we need a hole in the head.

I wondering just what kind of Ethics and Coach OSU has ?.. The football world is watching..!

If they are allowed to play they will all enter the NFL Draft and No punishment for the violations will be served, thats FAIR.?.. I'm wondering how OSU fans would feel if the shoe was on the other foot..?

I think Arkansas will win regardless..! Now, if OSU loses they will look twice as bad if they play.. at least imo if they sit them out and they lose y'all still have your dignity.. If they play, win or lose OSU will have lost that IMO..

I always thought of Ohio as a Decent State... lets see if its for real ..?

So there you have it, future NCAA rules breakers of America (and your parents). Go for the gold. When you get caught, shrug and say, "Why, I had no idea." Blame it on your dad and/or a negligent compliance staff at your university.
The NCAA dropped the hammer on the Buckeyes -- quarterback Terrelle Pryor, running back Daniel "Boom" Herron, receiver DeVier Posey, offensive tackle Mike Adams and defensive lineman Solomon Thomas -- for 2011. They're all suspended for the first five games next year.
But the hammer only hurts if there's someone there to feel it hit. We'll see how many of the five salesmen are still Buckeyes by next season. I'll set the over/under at 1.

Most of these guys will hightail it to the NFL -- but not until after getting to play in a high-profile BCS bowl.

If that strikes you as nonsensical, well, get in line. That line currently stretches from Fayetteville, Ark., to Saigon. And back.
