Considering I have seen no one else mention NCAA investigators (everything seems to be internal at this point) I would also call into question your inside info. I'm not saying you're making something up, just that the chances of you know about an NCAA investigation no one in the media knows about is slim.

Oddly enough, reading what they have to say over at shaggy made me feel much better...

http://www.shaggybevo.com/board/showthread.php/79696-Ruh-roh-Buckeyes.

I would also like to thank you for sending me over to a Texas forum for another reason.

Can we talk about the couch-burning stigma that follows OSU fans around wherever we go? How did this happen? If you have a degree from tOSU and have ever burned a couch, please chime in. Please tell me what you could have possibly been thinking. From where did this furniture come? Why did you think you were so effing cool when you burned it?

Things you could have been doing besides burning furniture: trying to get laid, playing foosball, watching "Dazed & Confused", rolling a fatty, learning how to play guitar, quoting episodes of "The Simpsons", calling your mother--she misses you, yelling at Michigan fans, eating a gyro, manscaping, deep-frying zucchini, getting the dog high, bumming a smoke, giving your neighbor an "upper decker", stealing trophies from frat houses, passing out in the front yard, or listening to "Dark Side of the Moon". These are all perfectly acceptable college activities and are all way more fun than burning sh!t.

Thanks for making me introduce myself as, "Yeah, I'm a Buckeye fan but, don't worry, I went to OU."

The quote from the alleged tattoo parlor that got raided was something like "they gave it to us for some stuff." How do you leap that they got free tattoo's out of that other then it was a tattoo parlor and a lot of speculation.

Clearly, the ambit of "stuff" must include charity toy collection for little injured orphan children.

Let's move on.....

Yes, you are saying I'm making something up and that's cool. I've got nothing to prove here. I don't leverage my NCAA contact for the purpose of coming onto forums and bragging about what I know. All I know is that it's not just internal and there's more to it than tattoos. Whether that translates to suspensions, no idea. I'm waiting for more details just like everyone else. Your skepticism is justified.

get 180 K..win the heisman...get tats...face suspension..the ncaa is backasswards

Let's get something straight here.

If the players get suspended at this point in time or at any time within the next week or so, it's the SCHOOL doing it, NOT the NCAA.

Just because Auburn lacked the moral courage to protect itself from future allegations and sanctions does not mean Ohio State is bound to do the same thing.

My thoughts...

It took the gas exploding for Auburn to even consider an investigation.

USC it took even longer....

OSU has class and they do what they can to play the right way. They investigate even the small stuff that other programs see as normal perks of being in a Big Program. I am actually proud that our university handles their own business before true allegations are brought out.(FBI investigations) It just makes Auburn look even more like the cheaters that they are. Fake suspending Cam knowing an investigation wasn't completed and they would have Cam back for the SECCG. They played the system. OSU has pulled players for less and it just smells of CLASS and DIGNITY of upholding the NCAA rules. They don't care if you are the best player on the team or not. You do the wrong thing and Tress and Gene sit you.

I want to thank the Ohio State Football Program for retaining me.

Having fully considered the matter, I immediately advise all my athlete clients to admit all of the facts alleged, and to stipulate that each tatoo cost $180,000.00.

I see no futher problems.

Thank you. My bill will be mailed early tomorrow.

Are you licensed to practice in Ohio or have you been granted authority to work pro hac vice in this matter.....either way, I smell malpractice.

This matter involves a Louisiana bowl game, and such the ancient traditional Latin rule Lex Locus Bowlus Tatti, or "The Law of the Site of the Bowl When It Involves Tattoos" applies.

Oh, that is right. I forgot about the ol' Lex Locus Bowlus Tatti. If I remember correctly though, for all cases brought under the Tatti theory, knowledge of an encautim pro encautim permutare (an ink for ink exchange) is a required element. Here, it is clear that, while the parents of the tattoo recipients may have had knowledge of the exchange, the players did not have the requisite knowledge.

It does seem that Ohio State hold themselves to a higher standard.
