5 players suspended for 5 games in 2011 regular season (Appeal has been denied)

Obviously not.....but that's not the point.

Penalty option 1: Say you're going pro, sit for the Sugar Bowl
Penalty option 2: Say you're staying, actually stay, sit at most 5 games next year
Penalty option 3: Say you're staying, leave anyway. Good luck with that.

In my opinionated IMO, option 3 would be the most severe penalty of the 3.

I too think it's a brilliant move by Coach Tress.

FIRST, don't punish the seniors who have worked their ass off for their Buckeye Pride. (Cam, Sanz, Rolle...etc) Send them out as winners. This night (Jan. 4) should be about the ones who earned their right in this game. The transgressors should pay their due to the ones who conduct themselves appropriately by playing their heart out.
SECONDLY, the transgressors are coming back for a year of learning, humbling and redeeming.

If they are not MAN enough to return for another year to suffer the consequence of their action AND going out there next week to play HARD to pay respect to the seniors, THEN, go. we don't even need you to play this game.

Coach Tress' is teaching these kids a lesson in life that, i am certain, they will look back one day and always be grateful for this particular opportunity to stand tall and be a man.

Like many have said, it IS a GREAT day to be a Buckeye.

So why not STILL suspend them for the bowl game and use it as leverage for less games during the appeal for next season?

So... didn't read a single post to respond to this... but... stretch your mind for a moment...
Let's say... Somehow... miraculously... Michigan could get an at large BCS bid.... but... the Sugar bowl passed them over because of Ohio State not putting its best foot forward.

Oh, nevermind, you're in no danger.
