#5 Lousiville 44, #3 West Virginia 34 (Final)

I saw WVU closeup in the spring...the level of athletes is shocking. The success they have is a testament to Rod...and the schedule. However, he is one hell of a coach and if WVU doesnt give him the facilities he wants, he will leave soon.

Agreed. Especially on the defensive end. But this WVU offense against a big 10 defense, and you have a much different outcome.

Does it seem that both teams are throwing out everything in the playbook here?

And Louisville can't stop having personal fouls against them....

What the FUCK kind of coaching was that crap. Talk about 3 horrible calls. I mean I can understand running the clock so WVU doesnt have time to go back down the field, but you dont wanna sacrifice a touchdown because of it. That's just horrid.

I could understand if you have a defense to turn the game over to...but in this case, I agree 100%.

Gutless and now Rod knows what Petrino is thinking tonight.

Exactly. They were driving right down the field, so let's call 3 really obvious plays at the goalline so that we can get stuffed and be forced into a FG....

Makes perfect sense to me!!

Lousiville's biggest opponent in the red zone is the predictability of its play-calling, without doubt.

And that raises a reasonable question - does either team really have a defense worth talking about? These are respectively the two best offensive teams either of them have yet faced, and they are not really stopping anything that isn't telegraphed. #3? #5? I have my doubts about both rankings. Big East Depth? I'm not sold on that either.

As SaTX said earlier, the last team with the ball will probably win.

I'd modify that to say that the first team who learns to tackle wins also.
