5 Bold Predictions for 2008

RhodeIslandBuck

This guy's a real jerk
- The winner of the Ohio State-USC game will win out and go to the National Championship Game, the loser will win out and go to the Rose Bowl

- Clemson will finally live up to the hype and make a BCS bowl game

- Oregon will surprise everybody and threaten to make a BCS bowl

- Georgia will lose atleast 3 games and will not make the SEC Championship game

- Oklahoma will go undefeated and play in the National Championship game

- There will not be a one-loss team in the National Championship Game

- An SEC will not go to the National CHampionship Game, but the SEC will still have two teams in the Bowl Campionship Series

- Georgia will lose atleast 3 games and will not make the SEC Championship game

- Oklahoma will go undefeated and play in the National CHampionship game

I'd say that points 1, 4, and 5 can be considered bold.

Numbers 1 and 5 seem to make #2 a moot point, and they take care of the first part of #3, and with 10 BCS teams the second part of number 3 really isn't a bold prediction.

But your statements are on the record once again.

I've bolded your boldest.

I seriously doubt #4...I can see them losing a couple games and missing their CCG, but no way they lose three regular season games.

Lets hope this is the one out of 5 you get right this year. :wink2:

There's a better chance that Oregon will threaten to lose 7 or more games.

I have them in that position as a product of a realtively easy schedule, they should start 5-0, until they play USC, and after that, the only games I can see them losing are @ Arizona STate and the rivalry game against Oregon State is always a tough one.

Like last year, I think the rest of us should make our own predictions.

1 - Florida defeats Georgia and in December wins the SEC title game

2 - Oklahoma defeats Missouri in a Big 12 CCG rematch

3 - Graham Harrell throws 55 TD passes (with only 9 interceptions) to win the Heisman

4 - Ntre Dme wins 8 games but loses the Gator Bowl to keep the streak of no bowl wins since the '93 season going

5 - TSUN fails to make a bowl game, ending their streak at 33 years, just short of Nebraska's record of 35 (that was stopped in '04)

1. Meatchicken won't suck as bad as they are supposed to... They lose to Utah and Miami while trying to find Offensive rythym and a superior Buckeye Team and MSU as Dantonio Takes back the Rivalry.

2. The pickle proves he's another in the line of college football family flops, gets benched around game 4 for freshman Dayne Crist.

3. Georgia loses to a Florida team with an actual running back and someone they shouldn't from their division, I'm saying Tenessee as that seems to be tradition.

4. No non-BCS school makes a BCS Bowl... Fresno's schedule is killer, BYU will get beat by Utah, and Utah slips up along the way.

5. The programs on the verge continue to stay on the verge... ASU, TTU, USF all make bowls but finish 9-3, 9-3, 8-4 respectively

My Guarantees for the Season
1. May will piss me off beyond belief
2. Charlie Weis will eat too many cheeseburgers.
3. SEC Fans will talk a whole bunch of trash to us slow midwesterners.
4. Phil Knight and the boys at Nike will introduce a horrible new uniform for someone in the Pacific Northwest.
5. Chuck Norris Jokes will end, Because Beanie Said So.
