49ers at Browns(-10.5)

If you are absolutely convinced that DA is the future after the last 4-5 games, you need to reevaluate. No way should the Browns trade Quinn.

Bingo. You do exactly what they will do, tender Anderson and if someone wants to take him for a 1st and 3rd... than great. If not, you have a solid 2 deep for next year and make the decision after that.

Anderson is over rated, winning 10 games for the Browns, you right !!!

Did you watch Ryan Leaf is college, he was amazing too......I hate ESPN, they are morans. I'll take DA over Quinn all day.

Yeah, his 2nd half performance has been the real DA.
Did you see those beautifully thrown short passes? The guy can't throw one!
There is no finesse in his game whatsoever. If he isn't throwing 25 yard bullets then he's worthless.

You never explained your opinion. I can respect anyone's opinion if it's based on fact or solid reasoning. You don't think he's the Browns future and/or you think DA is better. Why?

FACT DA is #4 in the AFC in Passing TD and Passing Yards.

FACT DA has a 9-5 Record in the NFL (Could be 10-5)

Could B Quinn be better, YES. Is that a FACT, NO

I think DA is and should be the Browns future. He's still essentially starting his first year in the NFL, he's 4th in the AFC in passing (5th or 6th in the NFL I think in total) AND he's likely going to go to a Pro Bowl this year when Toothlessberger declines.

Don't fix what isn't broken. And yes I'm still firmly in the camp of Brady Quinn being completely overrated in college.

Anderson is also in the middle of the pack with a QB rating in the low
80's.
Single stats are often misleading. Especially passing yards.

He has also thrown the third most INT's.....And those are game killers! His 4 last week cost the browns that game.

And he's still learning how to be a QB......considering what we have a fanbase have had to endure from the QB position, perhaps you shouldn't complain so much??

Yeah especially against Army Navy and Air Force.....

As if Quinn would have done any better in 50 MPH winds. As if Quinn would be doing any better right now. The throws sucked that's a given but the Browns throwing the ball 50 damn times did more to cost them that game.

Or the Browns going for it on the 4th and 1 at the 19

or the muffed FG attempt

Or the fact they can't seem to stop the run even when everybody and their brother knows it's coming....

If they don't make the playoffs then it's still broken. If Anderson doesn't throw 4picks last week then they are in.
With the weapons the Browns have on offense there are plenty of Qb's that could have his numbers. And without the picks.

But even more...Why the opinion of Quinn? You are the second one to say this and I've yet to read any reasoning behind it.

It would be awesome if they'd show another replay of Michael Lewis not being down on that punt.. that should've been a TD. Cribbs grabbed him and threw him across his body, and the only parts of Lewis that touched the ground were his feet and his open hand.

Of course the Browns' announcers don't say anything about that. :wink2:

Well, this looks to be wrapped up for the most part. Now just pray to god that Tony Dungy can give us a little help. Regardless of the outcome of that game, 10 and fucking 6!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a much better QB situation than we've had since the rebirth and Braylon, KW2 finally realized their potential and we have a damn good OL...Joe Thomas is gonna be an annual Pro-Bowler. Looking ahead, as much as i love what Jamal has done this season, with his age/mileage and the contract he's likely going to command this offseason, I don't want to overpay. I don't know if it's a great idea to give him a 3-4 year contract if that's what some are willing to pay. Been a great year...Go Colts!

The defense is still broken that's for sure.....however they wouldn't be anywhere in the discussion without Anderson coming in and providing something akin to stability at the QB position.

So yeah let's completely throw the guy out due to a singular bad game in horrible conditions. Makes perfect sense to me. :roll2:

:slappy: the weapons the Browns have were (outside of Winslow) very questionable at best coming into this season. Anderson to Edwards has turned into a GREAT combination.

Look at what Quinn did against anything nearly average COLLEGE talent on defense. Aside from never doing a damn thing against teams like Michigan or USC or Ohio State, look at how horrible he was against LSU or Georgia Tech......he made his name beating up on very very bad defenses in college. When the talent on the other team was comparable, he didn't do very well.

there's a reason 20 something other teams passed on him in the draft.

go Colts indeed

10 and 6 was so completely not what I thought this team would do it's awesome though huh??

I'd give Jamal at maximum a 2 year contract with an option for a 3rd. But he won't go for that I don't think.....
