David Teague, a guard, netted 28 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

We definitely have the better team, but this game might be the worst "Trap" game of the year on our schedule IMHO.

This game scares me without Oden. The game at MSU just plain scares me. We need that leadership.

Regardless if Oden is not available, I still like us to win by at least 10. For some reason I have always thought this team was more explosive when Oden isn't on the floor. I am not saying we are better, just harder to guard on the perimeter. It creates space, I guess I am trying to say we have better tempo at times......:wink2:

Just wondering but don't you mean we will have to learn how to defend the inside more than the perimeter because they will be attacking that area now that Oden will not be there to swat every shot that comes his way.

The obvious answer is we have to be smarter in defending both the inside and the outside. Oden, like Ken Johnson before him, erases mistakes. He allows our perimeter guys to play tighter because, if they get beat, he's back there to prevent the easy lay-up. So, without Oden, our guys have to play smarter outside (ie not get beat -- Daquean, that mean you), and a lot smarter inside as well (better positioning, and watching out for foul trouble since we'd only have Hunter and Twigs).

Actually, our interior defense is second in the Big Ten to Wisconsin if you're talking opponents 2-pt FG%. We are 8th in the Big Ten in 3-pt FG% defense. I argue our perimeter defense is what needs more attention, mainly Ron Lewis and Daequan Cook.
