#4 Florida 86, #3 Ohio State 60 (Final)

I'm all in on that game too! They'll for sure beat the spread... It won't be a huge victory for Florida. The way I look at it is Noah will get two quick fouls and sit out most of the first... We go in at half with a comfortable lead (let's say 9)... We play tough but play not to lose most importantly in the second half for the win. That's my thoughts on tom... TODAY'S game!

GO BUCKS!

Big one today. I can't wait, it should be a good one. I think it breaks down just like the UNC game. We have to shoot well and rebound to win. We shot well against UNC but didn't rebound and lost. I think we'll play pretty good defense but we have to get on the boards more. Foul trouble could be a problem for both teams. I'm ready, let's play. :oh:

Ohio State basketball

3-man matchup shrinks to two

It's just Oden vs. Noah in Florida game tonight

By Mark Long

Associated Press

GAINESVILLE, FLA. - The game was supposed to feature three of the best big men in the country, with Ohio State's Greg Oden facing Florida's Joakim Noah and Al Horford.
Tickets were sold out long ago. At least 20 NBA scouts requested seats. Thousands of students delayed going home for the holidays to see the marquee matchup many consider a precursor to college football's Bowl Championship Series national title game between the two schools on Jan. 8.
But as it turns out, the basketball game will be somewhat of a two-man show.

Game vs. Gators won't mean much when it matters
Saturday, December 23, 2006

GAINESVILLE, Fla. It's a big game, no doubt about it. Ever since Florida won the national championship last spring, the Gators? date with Ohio State and its fabulous freshman class has been circled on a lot of calendars. There were a few worries when OSU freshman 7-footer Greg Oden had wrist surgery, thoughts that we might somehow miss seeing a kid who probably would have been the NBA's top draft pick if he had been eligible go up against Gators' inside beasts Al Horford and Joakim Noah, but those melted a couple of weeks ago when Oden finally made his debut against Valparaiso. Now it looks like Horford might not play he has a high-ankle sprain but there's still a chance the ink and lead in all those circles won?t go to waste. The December death match, the 2006 champs vs. one of the primary challengers this season, might or might not be on; we?ll have to wait and see.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

When Billy Donovan and Thad Matta crossed paths on the recruiting trail this past summer, Donovan expressed his condolences to the Ohio State coach that Greg Oden wouldn't be ready for the start of the season.
Seriously. He was sincere. Donovan, coach of the Florida men's basketball team, even offered to reschedule the Gators' game against the Buckeyes to later in the season when the 7-foot Oden, the centerpiece of Ohio State's acclaimed 2006 recruiting class, was sure to be recovered from offseason wrist surgery. But they couldn't agree on a date.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. ? Don't let the suit and tie fool you: Thad Matta is an AC/DC fan.
The Ohio State men's basketball coach made sure to get Hell's Bells into the music rotation at the Schottenstein Center.

A spotlight game for sure.
We need to show our mettle in this one. It will be good to see how Oden fares against some talented tall men.
I think we will get to see our "A" game today. We need leadership as this game will show our direction for the rest of the year.
Go Bucks !

It's 10am, I'm off to campus to park, work, eat, and get a seat by 2pm, all in that order. Go Buckeyes. (Somewhere in the heart of Illinois, a 1974 grad of OSU is feasting on the rewards of his early work wooing fans for tOSU).
