#4 Florida 86, #3 Ohio State 60 (Final)

Anyone that believes that Oden is ready for the NBA is just foolish.

Count me in the foolish group then, because well he is ready and is still not at 100%

Let me rephrase this to say that I am sure he would be very serviceable in the NBA today, but I don't think he is currently the second coming that most media type have made him out to be. I would say Conley is more ready for the NBA at this point.

Forget it. Today they crow. Topday they won. But this is not the war, it is a skirmish on their terms. Our time will come.

I know. I'm just not a fan of Billy Packer. Ohio State will be just fine. Hell maybe when Conley nails a three to eliminate Duke and head to the Final Four, he can run to the announcer's table and pop his jersey like JJ Redick did a few years ago to the fool....hey I can dream right???

this game is pretty shocking really. sure we have inexperience but for lack of better words considering our team......WE WERE EXPOSED. the team lacked quickness to get back on defenders on defense, could not be fast enough in the transition game, and just flat out got lazy in a couple moments of the game. with that being said this was an awful shooting night. granted florida did a good job of applying pressure but even open shots were not falling.......florida on the other hand could of thrown a dodge truck and it would of found a way to make it through the rim. i dont like to call it luck but they literally threw up at least 5 shots that just so happened to fall in while nothing fell for us at all. oden looked spectacular minus a few boneheaded plays but still a great performance on his part. this team still lacks an identity somewhat and they need to MESH to understand how to work together offensively and defensively. even as a blowout you look at some of the BS calls, centimeters of difference, and better execution on getting into position to make plays and its a very winnable game. once the game got out of the 12 point range and oden came out it was game over and i personally think the team lost some confidence when he went out. with experience, more quickness and agility, and confidence with oden out and understanding what they are and are not capable of with oden in they have limitless potential and we still have a long ways till march folks.
