It was a tale of two halves in Madison, after falling behind 28-10 the Bobcats put their rally caps on.
Tyler Tettleton the turnover prone Junior was benched in favor of red shirt freshman Derrius Vick. Tettleton threw four picks in the first half and was even slapped by Coach Clementine on the fourth. Derrius Vick came in to lead the Bobcats back within two points. After a failed two point conversion the Bobcats stuffed Montee Ball on three straight carries. The offense had its chance it so desperately wanted. Derrius Vick led the Bobcats into Wisconsin hoping for a game winning field goal. On came veteran Matt Weller who had made his previous two field goals in the contest. With strong winds against him his kick landed 2 yards short of the post. The Badgers rushed the field while the deflated Bobcats dejectedly walked off the field.
Vinny Clementine came close to a signature win, a win against the #1 team in the land. Unfortunately, close doesn't count in the NCAA. The Bobcats fall to 2-6 with a bowl most certainly out of the picture.
Still with the loss some optimism can be salvaged, the Bobcats showed the resilience needed to win in the B1G and Freshman Derrius Vick looked spectacular.
