360 NCAA13 Online Dynasty V is live!!!

OK, I get to answer my own question.

When I go to dynasty setup and house rules, it still shows the default values. So I am guessing we need to set them ourselves. I have no idea how it works for player vs. player, but I am guessing we set our own sliders for CPU vs. player. Correct me if I am wrong.

Seems strange. I would think the commish would set the sliders for everyone.

COmmish is the only one who can change that stuff. If he changes something it doesn't take effect until the following week

OK, so they are now set and will take effect next week. Makes me feel better about the 52-0 blowout JWins got. Those sliders can be a real bitch. I am going to get my ass handed to me often.

I did get a huge blowout vs. MSU in my offline dynasty with similar sliders, but that was an anomaly.

Do I play Scott??

Have you played with those sliders and a crappy team yet?

I would really like feedback from people that have used those sliders with lower end teams. It is to the point of frustrating right now. I have ran through about 4 or 5 exhibitions with those sliders or things very similar. I have won a couple, but takes a really solid game from me. Even then, the computer just racks up points on me.

User offense is ok. There are still plenty of times my OL is just downright awful, but in the end that is often what it takes to make offense challenging in this game. Overall that is not too bad.

User defense, holy mother that is a pain the butt. Perhaps it's the style of offense WMU runs. I noticed that with my Ohio State dynasty. Some teams are easy as hell to shut down, and others it didn't matter what I did they were simply going to run and throw all over me. I did run a couple games against Minnesota and they were a little easier to deal with, but of course they blow.

In the end, I don't know. I would really like some feedback from other people who have used these sliders while playing with a lower end team. Maybe I am way off. IMO, they are fairly good when playing with a good team. They don't allow to steamroll people non stop. Yet I think they are simply frustrating when using a lower rated team. I don't expect my team to be undefeated, but I also don't expect to get rolled over and over again by WMU's offense at home.

I just played Michigan to check it out. They are way easier to stop than WMU. Seriously. The computer sucks with Michigan.

That is sort of what I feared. It's the type of offense. I saw that with my offline dynasty. Some offenses, no matter how highly rated, are easy as hell to stop. Others, no matter how poorly rated, are freaking machines.

I did notice another nice little touch. Versus WMU I could always hit the open man. Versus Michigan my QB couldn't hit the side of a barn. Of course I was playing with my backup QB for most of the game (which I had to do often vs. WMU too), but still it was really bad.

Interesting stuff Scott. I am okay with your proposed changes a few posts back, did that solve the issue? Or just lessen the pain?

I played about 4-5 games with Ole Miss against B+ level teams and thought they were okay. They were better for my powerhouse Texas dynasty, which is how the sliders came to exist.

Honestly, after I played Michigan I felt a lot better about the sliders. As I had mentioned, I also played Minnesota and they were not bad either. It must just be freaking Western Michigan. The computer simply is really good with that style of offense. I was just getting frustrated playing a lower rated team and not being able to stop them. I should have switched up teams more before commenting on the sliders. Yet WMU is the first team I will play, so I got somewhat obsessed in trying to figure out how to stop them.

As for the changes, those are the same ones I made in my offline dynasty. The tackling and the QB accuracy help reduce some the "you have to be kidding me" moments. The only other thing I have bumped is user pass defense and that is done to eliminate the moments where my DB's literally sit there and watch a guy catch a pass right in front of him without reacting at all. Yet that is more of me getting pissed that the guys looks like he is just standing there doing nothing. It would be better if the defender reacted and missed knocking down the ball like it happens in real life. Of course there are also the times when I play zone, only 1 receiver in the guy's zone, and for some unknown reason he goes running towards a receiver half way across the field and leaves his man uncovered. I have actually had some fun replaying the times I am in zone defense and watching some of the idiotic things defenders do. Man to man isn't bad in this game, but zone can be hilarious at times.

im fine with sliders as they are but wont yell if they change, hardest team ive tried with bowling green so far is Iowa and I had them in the bag until cpu went god mode in the 4th but the sliders wont fix that.. still won just turned it into a greatest game moment.
