From what I've read at other sites Skill Position players care more about stats while others care more about a ratio between starts and stats. K/P's 100% starts.
Cool, I hope I did that right then. I might have started my kicker at punter in an early game though. That's a big potential "oops" if I did.

Any idea on my redshirting question?

If you did not purposefully redshirt them at the appropriate preseason week, they will advance a year of eligibility whether or not they played a single minute.
Redshirting in the preseason removes the player from the depth chart, and designates them with a redshirt in order to give you a warning before accidentally putting them back on the depth chart. You can also redshirt players by manually removing them from your depth chart. I've manually redshirted a lot of players that the game wouldn't let me designate due to position minimums. I frequently redshirt kickers and punters, even though I only have one on the roster, by removing them from my depth chart and having an already redshirted kicker or punter handle all of the kicking duties.

In my experience, If the player is on your depth chart at any point during the season, they will not be redshirted. Regardless of whether they've logged any stats.

I hope that's the case this year. In years past though, I know that I've had players in the depth chart that were still redshirted because they never got into any of the games and therefor never had any stats.

I might try to move him to a FB or TE position for a play and get him either a carry or a dropped pass just to be safe.

That was going to be my next suggestion. Or you could just sim, offline, to the offseason to see if he gets a redshirt.
Turns out that throwing all of my INTs seems to have paid off. I checked all of his stats and he has a tackle. So now I know he's safe.

I'll have to wait until this evening to get my recruiting done for this week. I hope to be done by 9pm, if not earlier.

If Allenville can avenge their loss against Oklahoma, they should be Miami's opponent in the NC game.
Bayside threw up 490 yards on the ground yesterday vs Cal. Both AC Slater and Zach Morris both had over 200 yards.
Yeah, Slater has the heisman locked up. Owens went through a bit of a dry spell against SCLSU, LSU & Hoover. He'll have to settle for the Biletnikopf.
