foth121 is our only game left... so once he's done we'll advance (tonight at the latest). Then we have week 14. Week 15 will be fast, because eobuck & I (I think) will have CCGs. The pac-10 doesn't have one, and springfield isn't going to the CCG, are they?

I'm hoping we can be to the bowl season by the weekend.

We should set up what we are going to do for glitches in the off season before we start.

a. Any time there is a glitch we go back to the previously saved week.
b. Any time there is more than 2 teams affected by a glitch we go back to a previously saved week.
c. If more than half the teams are affected we go back.
d. we don't go back at all.

I really don't like options A or B. Off seasons are fun but they last quite some time. If we don't go back and redo any weeks we are already there for around 2.5-3 hours. That number goes up pretty quickly if we are redoing weeks.

I would be in favor of C or D and making up some stupid excuse like recruiting violations if it happens.

That all being said, hopefully we have no issues with glitches...

I'm only part kidding about that. The way my recruiting has gone this season is showing that I took a substantial hit by the screw-over effect from last offseason (with my 5 minutes for week 4). The fact that we didn't get a week 5 made it so I had no chance of pulling in 3 or 4 more good players. And with my recruiting being so crappy this season, I am not willing to take another one for the team. I can't afford to do that.

I think I've only got about 60 players on my entire roster right now, and will be losing another 15-20 for graduation (and may have a stud DE go pro early). With only 2 recruits in hand as of week 13, I can't afford to lose another 4 or 5 recruits due to glitches this offseason.

Agreed, we should do it straight up.

Good thing is, there shouldn't be any more glitches. We picked a bad time for last offseason as every single OD in the country was having problems. They have since fixed the issue, everything should be smooth this time around.

I did have one minor glitch in week 5 in my other dynasty, where all of my remaining recruits were reduced to 10th place (I've had this problem offline). Other than that, everyone else seemed to be fine, and I usually don't have many recruits left in week 5 (I lost a project speed WR).

I vote we go back unless the severity of the glitch is minor and the user can overcome it in the remaining weeks.

How many user need to finish up week 14?

It was nice to have a game last night where I wasn't inundated by CPU mischief. 49 - 21 with them getting a moderately BS defensive TD and another TD in the final minutes against my backups. The bye week in week 13 was costly though, as I dropped a few spots for some of my recruits due to being idle.

Question: I have a frosh OL that I promised wouldn't redshirt this year. He's played plenty (I even started him a game) but he doesn't have any stats (pancakes or sacks given up). If I don't get him a stat in my bowl game, will he automatically redshirt as if I didn't play him at all?

Not sure on users.

You break the redshirt promise in preseason, since you declare the redshirts in the game.

Did you promise him solid pt? That's the one that is affected in season.

But if you don't specifically redshirt a player during preseason, and if you don't play them during the season, they will still redshirt. There's technically no reason to deliberately redshirt a player during the preseason other than to have them be omitted from the depth chart when that is set by the CPU.

My issue is that my player has actually played in games, but I'm wondering if he'll be redshirted by the system since he doesn't appear to have any seasonal stats.

I'd like clarification on this as well. I promised it to my punter because I knew he would get all of the punts. Now I'm wondering if he saw the field enough since some games I didn't have to punt very much.
