360 Dynasty 2011 **Planning***

We should be able to pick teams pretty quickly. I think folks should get a general set of teams they'd like to use, so they can test them out right away.

As far as a start date, we'll play it by ear, but we won't start until folks have had the game for at least a week to adjust, if not later.

We might run a test dynasty before that to figure out things like recruiting difficulty (which is a setting this year), whether we like the challenge or whether it's too hard for 3-star schools, etc.

The divisions are now set. redbenn is reuinted with his old pac ten rivals (me, merih), and gomer is staying in his division. OhioState001 switched over to the other dynasty.

Maybe you should start the Official League thread and have it locked so we can see what is definite, especially since the game is coming out in 2.5 weeks. And that way that info is separate from our speculation/discussion thread in here...

I meant the groupings of users are set (first post in the thread).

When redbenn ended up being able to join after all, we had to figure out which of the 12 was moving over. OhioState001 was kind enough to do so, so now Gomer can stay put.

I think we're still somewhat in the planning stages, since we have to pick teams, sliders, rules, recruiting settings, etc.

Would anyone object to only playing 3 user games for the first season? We had discussed also playing 1 OOC user game, but I figure it could help folks build up their programs if we held off for 1 season before starting those games.

We have been thinking about it. I still think choosing now is jumping the gun a bit.

that why need to pick teams before the game comes out, at least that way we can start playing with them right away, if we wait til after the game comes out and wait til every1 gets the game, it'll be forever til we start...the rosters for these teams aren't going to change THAT much in deciding what team to use

How would it be fair to the people who don't get the game on release day? We've got to wait till good rosters come out, the first patch and when sliders worth using are out.
